I am looking for a midwife or midwife practice that can come alongside me in a hospital setting. I am planning a natural and physiological approach to birth and desire midwives who are knowledgeable and fully supportive of that desire. True and genuine complications aside, I don’t want unnecessary interventions or checks and am hoping that there are midwives out there that are well suited for these wishes. I was originally set to deliver in the Bryn mawr lifecycle birthing center, but unfortunately they are shutting down their facility after almost 50 years. This caused me to have to change up my plans at 23 weeks pregnant. I feel very stressed about that considering I was looking forward to being out of the hospital. As someone who is low risk, I’m still hoping I can have my dream birth even if that means being in the hospital.

Recently moved and seeking information on local options for natural birthing support at local hospital for 1st time mom.

I just found out my husband and I are expecting! For the past two years, I have become fascinated with the thought of having an unmedicated birth. I'd consider myself pretty educated in the birth world (also because I grew up with a mom who worked in Labor and Delivery as a nurse). I'd love to labor at home as long as I can and then transfer over to the hospital. My dream would be a birth center, but there isn't any near me. I would love it to just be my husband and I with the support and help from a doula. I'm looking for someone who can help advocate for me during labor, especially in a hospital setting.

I plan to give birth at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. My budget will be through TriCare. I don't have a birth plan yet, but it I know it will include not getting an epidural, and being as active as possible. Prefer to give birth in an upright position, not lying on my back.

I plan to give birth at Jefferson Hospital Center city. When it comes to budget I am not sure what is the minimum or maximum just what would work best with me! My birth plan is unmedicated birth with little to no medical intervention. I refuse and do not want to epidural at all. I am a strong believer that we as woman were made to have life in our womb and be able to give birth. I am sure that I can do it and will be able to do it. I want to birth at home as much as possible and head to the hospital just when it's the time to give birth. I also want my partner and mother present and able to help advocates for me.

I’m interested in having a natural water birth. I want to breast feed. I want to delay cord cutting and newborn’s first bath. I have Medicaid and commercial insurance.

I’m 34 years old and currently 31 weeks pregnant with my first baby. I plan to give birth at Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA. I currently don’t have health insurance, and am enrolled in VA Healthcare, which is the benefit that has been paying for all of my prenatal and maternity care thus far. My active duty fiance and I plan to get married mid-February, 2026, and I will then have Tricare Prime health insurance as his dependent. My estimated budget is whatever Tricare Prime will cover for a certified doula. My birth plan has not been created yet.

I would like to give birth at home but most likely I would have to give birth in a hospital due to gestational diabetes. My budget is hopefully less than a few hundred dollars unless covered by Medicaid if given a provider that accepts Medicaid. I would like to be able to go into labor naturally without having to be induced early(doctors like to induce women with gestational diabetes) I would also like to be able to freely move around as I've never had that freedom given I was induced and also recieved the epidural due to being in pain with both of my children.
