We will be giving birth at Sentara Leigh Hospital, ideally without an epidural. We are most concerned with getting reasonable sleep for the first 8-13 weeks and would like a night nurse for 4-5 nights a week for the first 4 weeks, and the. 3 nights a week for the next 8-10 weeks depending on the need. Other postpartum services that would be helpful would be some lactation consulting and referrals to Pelvic floor physical therapy and being an advocate for the mother. Estimated budget for a night nurse would be $30-35 an hour for 9 hours a night

Hi there! My husband and I are both active duty Navy. I will have to give birth at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Our budget is $3,000-$5,000. My plan is to deliver vaginally with as little invention as possible. I am open to Nitrous gas while pushing but I’d really like to avoid epidural at all. I am more interested in 4th trimester care as I’d like to breast feed.

We want to be present in babies first bath and want baby in room at all times if possible. No students performing high risk procedures on me - ok to watch if necessary. Budget: willing to discuss it’s my first time and don’t know how much it costs.
