1) I plan to give birth at a local birthing center affiliated with (and next door to) a hospital. 2) $1,500-2,000 3) I need help - I’d prefer to have a non-medicated, vaginal birth, but it’s my first time and I understand that what I think sounds best may not be most realistic at the time. I’d like someone to guide me so we can have a game plan for what I ‘want’ and what I might end up with.

I plan on giving birth at the Vassar brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. My estimated budget is anywhere from 2500 to 3500. My birth plan is flexible at this point. I’m still trying to decide what’s best for me. I’m not opposed to a medicated plan. I would like the Doula to be certified and to have at least 2 to 3 years of experience. I have gestational diabetes and on insulin and need to be induced between 38 and 39 weeks. I had a pretty traumatic first birth experience due to the same issue and ended up in a c-section. I would like the support in the hospital for a natural VBAC. Plan on giving birth at Vassar Brothers Hospital. Budget is around $700 if my insurance can cover the majority. I would like a natural VBAC even with an induction and no Pitocin if possible.

I don’t know all the details yet, as I am only 9 weeks pregnant. I want to start researching a midwife/doula. I want to have an unmedicated birth with little to no medical intervention unless absolutely necessary. I intend to give birth at a hospital, but I strongly believe in the body’s natural ability to go through labor.
