I am giving birth in valley hospital. My budget is 1500. I am hoping to have an unmedicated vaginal birth with minimal interventions. I want immediate body contact, I plan to breastfeed, I am hoping to deliver the placenta naturally, and I want to delay the clamping of the umbilical cord. I do not want my baby to have the hep b vaccine in the hospital. I do not want additional people in the room. I want a dark and quiet room with some light music.

I am new to the idea of having a doula. I would like to do more preparation work to hopefully have a smoother delivery. My first experience of childbirth, ended in a natural delivery that was forceps assisted, and I had 3+ hours of pushing before we decided between forceps or C section. I had to be induced after 11 days being overdue. I would hope that with this next pregnancy I can go naturally and have way less medications than I had the first time. I want to trust that my body knows what to do, but I need to help train it to achieve my goal. We are overwhelmed with so much information that is out there especially when it comes to vaccinations and certain procedures hospitals do that we want to feel that we have a voice in our decisions and/or birth plan. Hospital (Valley in Paramus) Birth Plan: Epidural, no inducing methods unless emergency, no C section unless emergency, NO vaccines, no vitamin K shot, no student nurses, not a whole lot of cervical checks unless necessary, delayed cord cutting, dad cuts cord, pics and vids by my mom, my own music, essential oils with diffuser, I want to be able to move around until epidural - after epidural I want turned every 30 minutes, etc.

Hello! I am currently pregnant with twins! I am planning to give birth at Hackensack University Medical Center. I am excited for birth and hopeful to have a natural, physiological birth. My OB practice also values a vaginal birth. I am not sure what to expect for budget for a doula, however, my budget would be around $1,000. I would love to have as little interventions during birth as possible. It’s very important that as soon as the babies come out I am able to hold them immediately. I would like to delay the cord clamping, and delay first bath as well. I also planning to breastfeed twins and would love education and support to be as effective as possible in that area!

Hi, Looking for a doula to help me prepare for childbirth and be present at the birth - hoping for a medicated vagina birth in the hospital (Jersey City Medical center). This is my first child. My husband and I have no family in the country (we’re British from the UK) and so extra support is needed. Would also like support after during the postpartum stage. Unsure on costs for this kind of thing so advice would be great. Thank you
