My partner and I are feeling a little lost in terms of how to start preparing for our baby. This includes what we should be doing now, how to ensure a smooth pregnancy, and what we should be doing to prepare for birth and afterwards. We plan to give birth at the nearest hospital we can.

I am searching for a birthing doula/ postpartum. I'll be giving birth at Sovah hospital in Danville VA. Im using medicaid. I want to labor at home until I get into active labor. I'd like to get an epidural but wait until 5 cm at least. I'd like to do as many movements as possible to help get baby into position vertically before epidural and after epidural I'd like to have help with different positions on a ball in bed. I want my husband there and to help with counter pressures and just to be with me. I'd like the lights to be dim and minimal interruptions and cervical checks. I need help finding others way of managing pain in case something goes wrong with epidural and i have to go naturally. Possibly some music but I may just put headphones in. When baby comes I want delayed cord clamping and after she can be wiped off but I'd like her back immediately for golden hour. I want to try to latch her as soon as possible.

Plan to give birth in hospital, have no spousal support. Would rather have doula in room during birth process .. my parents, I’d like them to come in once the birth is complete and I’m covered, out of the respect of our culture, but I definitely would love support during that time. My budget.. well I’m struggling with medical bills and legal fees and no job so I am looking for free doulas in this difficult time, or would hope my doula takes my insurance for billing - I have anthem blue cross blue shield ppo/epo plan, if that’s something she takes. My birth plan is natural but if it gets overwhelmingly difficult then c section. I would like to match with a doula that will help me prepare for birth, create a birth plan, and provide in-person support when the contractions start. Additionally, I would like a doula that will guide me and help me through breastfeeding and the first weeks of the baby. I plan to give birth at Mount Sinai West. I do not have a budget since I do not know how much this services cost, but I am open to check the offers. I do not have a birth plan yet and I would like to discuss that with the doula.

Hi - My wife is 29 weeks pregnant and expecting in April. We are seeking a doula who can support her in her journey and in the child’s birth. Our biggest need is not a cheerleader but instead someone who can represent us and our needs with the hospital leading up to the birth and at the hospital during labor, delivery, and post delivery. Hello! I am currently pregnant with twins! I am planning to give birth at Hackensack University Medical Center. I am excited for birth and hopeful to have a natural, physiological birth. My OB practice also values a vaginal birth. I am not sure what to expect for budget for a doula, however, my budget would be around $1,000. I would love to have as little interventions during birth as possible. It’s very important that as soon as the babies come out I am able to hold them immediately. I would like to delay the cord clamping, and delay first bath as well. I also planning to breastfeed twins and would love education and support to be as effective as possible in that area!

Hospital (Valley in Paramus) Birth Plan: Epidural, no inducing methods unless emergency, no C section unless emergency, NO vaccines, no vitamin K shot, no student nurses, not a whole lot of cervical checks unless necessary, delayed cord cutting, dad cuts cord, pics and vids by my mom, my own music, essential oils with diffuser, I want to be able to move around until epidural - after epidural I want turned every 30 minutes, etc.
