Hello, I plan to give birth at home and am open to a water birth. I have tried reaching out to multiple midwives but have not had any luck finding someone available. I am 23 weeks pregnant, feel great, baby is active and am so thankful. I have not seen any doctor and truly do not want to have our first baby in a hospital unless necessary. We are willing to work with your company on price, and understand the flat rate is $6000.00. I have a supportive family who I know will be available to help after baby comes. The main need is having someone qualified and experienced to help deliver our baby at home, and know what to look for during labor for any potential complications and making a wise judgment to get more help. Dear Pippa, My husband Sam and I are expecting our second child in mid September of this year. Sam will take off one week to ten days for paternity leave and then another week or so later in the year. We have a two year old son (Hugo) who will be in school from 8:30 to 1:30 Monday through Friday. I would like to speak with you about our specific needs, but I think it would be something like three days for five hours in the first week I’m home from the hospital, five days for five hours the next week, and then maybe two or three days for four hours the week after that. Finding a doula for my labor and delivery at St. E’s I plan on laboring at home as long as humanely possible before going to the hospital. Planning for a physiological birth. Possibly looking into postpartum help for a few hours after delivery as well.
