I plan on giving birth at the Vassar brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie. My estimated budget is anywhere from 2500 to 3500. My birth plan is flexible at this point. I don’t know all the details yet, as I am only 9 weeks pregnant. I want to start researching a midwife/doula. I want to have an unmedicated birth with little to no medical intervention unless absolutely necessary. I intend to give birth at a hospital, but I strongly believe in the body’s natural ability to go through labor. I want someone who can support me and my husband to advocate for us so that he can focus on emotionally supporting me and I can focus on working through labor.
