My husband is pregnant via donor, we are about to be trans dads and need someone who is open and respectful to that. We are hoping for a water birth at home if we have no complications. Living off one income and are currently international long distance, hoping to close the distance before third trimester. We need support emotionally and as much information we can get🫶

Seeking a birth doula to support the birth of our 3rd child. I plan to deliver at the university of Iowa main hospital. My first birth was an unplanned c-section in Madison, WI in 2020 and second was a vbac at U of IA with the midwives in 2023. I am seeing the u of IA midwives for this pregnancy as well we have had doula care for our past two births as well. We don’t need a lot of childbirth education at this point but are looking for a confident and experienced doula to help provide support and advocacy during labor. I would like to try for an unmedicated birth. We’d like to focus on birth support and don’t necessarily need a lot of prenatal visits or postpartum support. Our budget is $1000- $1500.
