Hi Mitzy, I just had my daughter via C-section on Friday morning and I am really struggling. She is already cluster feeding and hates her bassinet. I plan to give birth at UCLA Santa Monica. I really don't have much in the budget, maybe a couple thousand. I'm potentially interested in hypnotherapy and aromatherapy, but not opposed to an epidural, and would like a very quiet and calm environment with minimal yelling. Absolutely no circumcision under any circumstances. Apparently I have a chance at getting reimbursed for doula services if they work under a license of some kind, so that would be preferred. I have Blue Shield PPO, in case that's helpful. I'm 35 so "Advanced Maternal Age", and have been flagged as high-risk for my weight. Any experience helping first-time moms with larger bodies is appreciated. My first trimester has been very rough. Thanks for considering!
Looking for a Carrot postpartum doula, hospital, 12,000.
Hello! I'm looking to give birth at Cedar Sinai. Regarding budget - I'm looking to find a doula who is covered by my insurance. I don't quite have a birth plan yet, hope that's okay! Requirements of provider - English speaking, at least 10 years of experience. I'm 36 years old, and due in August. Thank you!
I plan on giving birth at Kaiser Woodland Hills location. I'd like to go all natural. I want to get help with breastfeeding.
This is my first baby and I plan to give birth at a birth center. My insurance doesn't cover a doula so my budget would be $1500. I would like my provider to have experience with severe back pain. I can not lie on my back and transitional movements are extremely painful. I want to gain better understanding of birthing positions that will be right for me. I want to learn different pain management techniques and receive information on how my husband can help during the labor process. For lactation I would like to work with an IBCLC if possible. Postpartum I would like information on sleep training. I would like to meet in person with the doula at least twice before the birth and at least once after.
Im a first time mom looking for day care for approximately 8 hours a day 4-5 days a week. For provider, I’m looking for a certified postpartum Douala with at least a few years of experience. No requirement for second language spoken but I speak Spanish fluently and some Mandarin. My son is 3 weeks old and is currently exclusively breast fed. I’m interested in help with meal prep/cooking, laundry, and minimal cleaning around the house. I need more sleep during the day and would like baby care while I take a nap or two. I’m going to start pumping and would also like help getting the baby to start taking a bottle. My estimated budget is approximately $70 an hour.
I want to find someone who takes blue shield of california platinum ppo plan for as much of the care as possible. I want someone to come to the house and help with post-partum related needs. Ideally I would have a postpartum doula and/or night nanny three days a week for the first month or so, but I would want the care to be covered by insurance. I'm open to being flexible and figuring out how to best do that.
Where do you plan to give birth? I'll be giving birth at Cedar's Sinai in the Los Angeles area. Estimated budget between $1,500-$3,500 for birth support depending on experience and package inclusions. Describe your birth plan I'm aiming for a natural, vaginal birth and want to avoid a C-section unless it becomes medically necessary. I'm open to an epidural or other pain management options to make labor as smooth and manageable as possible, but my priority is a supported vaginal delivery with strong advocacy throughout. Requirements for the provider I'm comfortable working with a doula who speaks English, though Spanish fluency is a plus. Most importantly, I need someone who will actively advocate for me at the hospital and help me navigate decisions in real time to achieve the best possible outcome. I'd prefer a certified doula with meaningful hands-on labor support experience. Details about care recipients This will be my first baby, due in July. No special needs or complications currently anticipated. Additional duties Beyond labor support, I'd love guidance and education around lactation and breastfeeding. I know it can be a challenging journey and want to feel informed, prepared, and supported through it from the start
