Need a lactation consultant who takes aetna insurance
Low output, recovering from inflammatory mastitis and want to primarily breastfeed
hi Philline. I am breastfeeding my almost 1 month old. Haven’t used a lactation consultant yet but wanting to get more education and support with some things. One: pumping for when I go back to work as I’ve been exclusively breast feeding besides manually hand pumping. Two: figuring out my let down and supply. Sometimes I am shooting milk in his face and can hand pump a lot but then in the evening/night he is waking every hour to eat. Three: how do I tell when he’s feeding versus just sucking. I think sometimes he just twiddles my nipple in his mouth so I’m not sure if I’m emptying when I switch breasts. Four: he does favor looking to his right so he bobs more on my right breast because it’s to his left but then my left nipple is always sore, even in the shower with water running it is sensitive. I was using nipple shields in the beginning I got from Englewood where I delivered but thought it was contributing to my soreness and since stopped so I wonder if the sizing was appropriate. I have Aetna multi tier epo insurance so looking for someone in network and an in home appt where I have all my supplies. Your name was listed under my insurance as in network and hoping we can connect.
Lactation support, baby will only feed on one side
Need a lactation consultant to help transitioning from triple feeding. Needs to be covered by United healthcare insurance.
Hi Mariel, Out of all of the supplements, which one is the most crucial to my milk production? I just dont love the idea of taking so many pills. If i cut out mucinex and allegra and start including more greens and the recommended nutritious foods into my diet, would that be enough to increase my supply without the pills? I'd like to consider taking one of the supplements and change up my diet and see how it goes and then if that doesn't work, i would be willing to do all the supplements recommended. Will you let me know which is the most beneficial to increasing supply? Thank you!

We don't know how much doula costs so we need a guidance here. We live in Jersey City (Newport) and need postpartum doula. About us: We’re a bilingual English-Russian couple, both Jewish and fairly agnostic. While religion isn’t central to our lives, we’d prefer someone who understands our cultural background—usually that’s other Jewish people or Christians. This will be our first baby, and we’re looking for someone who can help us prepare. Ideally, we’d like to start with a call to go over what to expect and how to get ready for labor. We also want someone to visit us at home on the second day after birth to walk us through feeding and basic newborn care. Longer-term, we’re open to ongoing support and possibly having someone with us during labor, depending on pricing. We have Anthem insurance and would appreciate a clear picture of the financial commitment up front. In terms of approach, we’re pragmatic and prefer someone who’s professional, kind, and direct. I don’t like being called “mommy” or being spoken to in a cutesy or overly emotional way. A grounded, focused personality would be a better fit. We’re sensitive and emotionally aware, but not drawn to overly spiritual approaches. We’re looking for someone who understands both the science and the natural, intuitive side of birth, without leaning too far into either extreme. For labor, I plan to move around, avoid medication if I can manage the pain, and steer clear of anything involving needles. I’ve tried meditation and it doesn’t work for me, so I’d prefer other methods like breathwork, bathing, dim lighting, and moving intuitively. English is my second language, so clear pronunciation is important. And finally, we have a very active and friendly corgi, so being comfortable around dogs is a must.
I need a lacatation consultant who can come to my house ans I'm looking for someone who is covered by my insurance. My baby has hard time sucking
My baby has a weak latch and prefers the bottle- after 3 weeks we are still having trouble latching except occasionally with nipple shields, and I am mostly pumping and bottle feeding and having engorgement and pain if I don’t pump every 2-3 hours. I’d like to try and transition to breastfeeding and work on getting a latch! I’m looking for someone in-network with Aetna.
