I am planning to give birth at Squamish Hospital and am hoping for an unmedicated, natural birth if everything progresses safely. My goal is to feel informed, confident, and supported throughout pregnancy, labour, and birth. I am looking for a doula who can help me prepare both physically and mentally for labour. I would love guidance on breathing techniques, visualization, comfort measures, labour positions, and other natural coping strategies so I can feel as prepared as possible. I also want to understand what to expect throughout the different stages of labour and have someone who can help my partner and me feel calm and confident. At the same time, I know that birth doesn't always go according to plan. It is very important to me to be mentally prepared if interventions become necessary, such as an induction, epidural, assisted delivery, or a C-section. I would love a doula who can help me stay informed, supported, and empowered no matter how my birth unfolds. I don't have a specific budget at this time because I am still learning about doula services and what different packages include. I am open to discussing options and finding the right fit based on the level of support provided.
