Hello! As a Registered Nurse, along with Birth and Postpartum Doula, I have been attending hospital maternity units, birthing centres and home births for 25 years. It is my own birth story with my oldest son, as well as the story of many other women that I have been honoured to journey along with over these many years, which is the reason that I founded Blessed Beginnings for Mama & Me Nursing. So, mothers, their partners and babes will feel loved, cared for and supported. I will also be your best friend, safety net and cheerleader during your labour & delivery, recovery and postpartum period, helping you to overcome the challenges, celebrate the milestones and get the much needed rest you need in between. Since becoming a mom and experiencing some of the challenges that come with that, I’ve known that I want to work with new parents and help them transition into parenthood smoothly. I believe whole heartedly that you are the right parents for your baby, and that you have the ability to make decisions that are best for them. My role is to provide you with un-biased information and resources to help you make confident decisions for your family. I am there to support you and help you build the skills and confidence you need to care for your child independently. I believe what new parents need more than anything is a non-judgemental listening ear, practical support around the house, and many, many opportunities for rest. This is what I can provide for your family if you choose to include me in your postpartum village.

I have always enjoyed helping others. I started my training in the medical field at the young age of 17 when I became a Certified Nurse Assistant. I continued my studies and became a Certified Medical Assistant, Although pregnancy was not easy for my body I thoroughly enjoyed being pregnant. With each pregnancy I was taught natural ways to cope and how to give my body what it needed. This gave me the desire to help other women, that desire continued to grow through each of my 5 pregnancies/ births to the point that I delivered my last baby unassisted and was able to catch her myself. I began my formal training with DONA in 2022 and became a certified birth doula in 2023. I have since worked with 4 midwives. in doing so I have gained great hands on experience and knowledge. I have been blessed to help many women through their own birth experiences. I look forward to continuing to serve and empower women for years to come. I want to continue the tradition of empowering and enriching women’s pregnancies and births, like my midwives did for me. Being a doula I get to do just that
