I had a traumatic birth experience with my first child born in February of this year. I am now pregnant with my second child and would like a doula to be of support to my fiance and I while navigating my second pregnancy. I plan to give birth at a hospital, I don’t know which one yet because I don’t want to go to the same one I previously went to. I can send my previous birth plan for reference, there may be some things I add or take off. I just want someone who is personable and able to be emotionally supportive for my little family. My wife and I are looking for a newborn care specialist to assist us during the nights for our baby's first 6 weeks (potentially more depending on how it goes). 8 hours for 3 nights a week. Our budget is around $8k - $10k. Additionally, we could be interested in a post-partum doula during the day a couple of days at some point during the first couple of weeks. Our insurance reimburses us up to $2.5k so looking for someone that would fall within that budget.

I’d like to give birth at a birthing center but my husband is leaning towards a hospital. I mainly want it to be a natural birth and to labor how I feel most comfortable.
