About Alisha the doula

Greetings families, I am Alisha a certified birth and postpartum doula through DONA International in prenatal, birth, and postnatal care. I provide emotional, physical, and informational support to individuals and families throughout their pregnancy, childbirth, and early postpartum journey. I offer a wide range of services, including education, advocacy, comfort, and guidance to help ensure a positive birth experience and smooth transition into parenthood. I am also CPR, First Aid and AED certified. I have over 20 years of experience in the human service field. I have been a servant to my community by providing resources to the most vulnerable populations such as disabled, homeless and abused. Strengthening new and growing families as a doula has been profoundly significant and valuable during the start of my career. I enjoy empowering families, promoting health, and fostering resilience for birth moms.

Rest, healing, personal care, transitioning to new parenthood, breastfeeding and pumping, infant feeding, soothing, bonding, infant care such as diapering, burping, bathing, resources and meal prep.

I loved my experience with Alisha. From the start to the ending. Talking to her about the pregnancy use to bring me comfort. She gave me plenty of resources while pregnant and after I gave birth. During birth she was extra supportive. Even tho my birth plan did not go as plan she stuck by myself my whole c section and held my hand. 23 hours in labor she kept me calm bringing games and everything to keep my mind calm. I just overall appreciate her and if I ever had another baby I would want her as my doula again. 5 stars isn’t enough to rate her. She more like a million stars. Thank you so much for the experience and the comfort you bought through out the experience. And I appreciate you.

I had an amazing experience with Alisha From the moment we connected, she provided incredible support and guidance throughout my pregnancy. Her knowledge, compassion, and calming presence were invaluable during labor and delivery. She helped me feel empowered and confident in making decisions for my birth plan, and she was always available to answer any questions I had. Alisha was such an important part of my pregnancy and birthing journey. She helped me prepare for and navigate each stage of my first pregnancy making me feel confident even though I came into it knowing very little of what to expect. She helped me construct a birth plan that reflected what was important to me, which helped a lot on the big day. I am especially grateful for Alisha’s support during my labor and delivery. She showed up in the middle of the night ready to guide me through my contractions, support me emotionally, and advocate for me when I was not able to speak for myself. Thank you Alisha for making my pregnancy and birthing experience a positive one! I don't know how I would have gotten through it without her.
