Hello my name is Anyi (Angie) I am a mom of 2 little gentleman and 1 little princess. I am happily married with my husband almost 10+ thank God for my family. My first pregnancy was tough I was far from family member. It was just my husband and I wish I had a doula to feel that comfort and joy that we were expecting. I don't want anyone to feel that way. It's amazing to be able to carry a little one in our belly's. My other two pregnancy I had different injuries, when your pregnancy there so much we need to be careful about and when I was in the park I hurt my legs because there was a metal pole where I couldn't see it because my belly was big. Lastly I had broken my pelvic. Thank God I am heal from everything that has happened to me. I was still able to give birth naturally 3 times. The first 1 with Epidural.. I have learn so much about Nutrition, how to increase breast milk. How to prevent injuries how to prevent miscarriages. How to stay fit while pregnant and how to have a smooth labor and recovery. I have been a birth doula for over 3 years now. I’ve supported vaginal and planned and unplanned C-section births as well as births in a birth center. I provide education as well as comfort. And believe in a balanced holistic approach that embraces and utilizes modern medicine as is desired. I also provide placenta encapsulation services, pregnancy fitness, postpartum belly binding, acupressure support and as a certified Reiki Master, provide reiki energetic healing.

I can't remember a time when I was not passionate about family issues, and particularly family health. I had my first child at a young age, and found the perinatal landscape entirely bewildering. Mostly alone, I had no idea what was happening to me and my baby, or how to provide for him once he was born (and later, when he was quite sick). The experience strengthened my desire to support others who find themselves similarly lost at the hands of an impersonal medical institution. ​ ​​ I am committed to helping families access evidence-based information for informed decision-making, and to helping improve the birth experience for all families. I serve families of all types, and I specialize in trauma-informed care, bereavement support, disability advocacy, and neurodivergence, Additionally, I am conversant in Spanish, French, and American Sign Language (ASL). The journey into familyhood should be a time of joy, love, and familial and community support. I founded Family Ways with the intention to help bring such an experience to any individual and family who wants and needs it, and to strengthen the family bond—no matter what shape the family takes. Hi I'm Chris! I'm super passionate about all things birth. I'm a birth and postpartum doula and a lactation councelor. I have 4 grown children, I was a sign language interpreter many years ago, and worked in a local church for 20 years. I was incredibly nieve and uninformed when I had my children and it is my hearts desire to support moms through pregnancy and birth as well as those first few months after baby is born. I have no preconcieved notions as to how your birth should or should not go. I believe in supporting you in the way that fits you the best while informing you of all your options. I am excited to be following my passion and I look forward to sharing it with you.

I have been preparing birthing couples since 2013. Unhappy with the support I received during my first birth, my sister encouraged me to take an independent childbirth class. My second birth was healing and my third birth was empowering. This started my passion for safe, natural when possible, and empowering birth. I have since become trained in Spinning Babies, Rebozo use during labor, Neonatal Resuscitation, and Bengkung belly binding. I have taught over 300 couples and attended dozens of births, either as doula support or as a midwife birth assistant. I am a certified breastfeeding specialist that is currently going through the process of becoming an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I'm married to my best friend of 10 years and we have 3 vivacious children together. Two of those children are deaf and we enjoy learning ASL and signing together. When I'm not reading articles about birth, I can be found chasing my kids around the park or folding laundry. It’s a toss up. My birth stories are all different from each other. I believe this shapes my teaching. My first birth, I did not know about the Bradley Method®. My mother gave birth in Vietnam without drugs and her only advice was “you just do it”. Because she said she did it, I thought naturally I would be able to and did not consider learning different coping techniques. For my first birth, unable to cope with the pain, I began to hold my breath and tense up. This ultimately caused my labor to stop and I was given Pitocin and the cycle continued. I eventually was given an epidural and my son was born by vacuum extraction. My daughter, my second birth, on the other hand has a completely different birth story. I had a short, six hour labor. I firmly believe learning all the physical exercises, practicing relaxing, and knowing the best birthing positions sped up the birth and caused me to give birth with ease. I was calm and happy after giving birth. By the time the doctor arrived I had already breastfed and my daughter was sleeping peacefully. He was amazed and commented on how we as a family appeared stoic. My third birth was a quick homebirth. I was excited to practice everything I had been teaching! My husband caught our last child and we consider it our best teamwork. Both my husband and I noticed a big difference in how I felt after my last two births. Because of the vast differences in my birth experiences, I feel the need to tell every women. What better way than by becoming a Bradley instructor.
