Dear Hiring Family, I am a compassionate and dedicated Newborn Care Specialist/Nanny with hands-on experience caring for infants from as young as 1-2 weeks old. My passion for working with babies, combined with my professional training and practical experience, has equipped me to provide safe, nurturing, and attentive care during a newborn's critical early months. I hold a Certificate with Distinction in Practical Home Nursing from the University of the West Indies (UWI), earned in 2011, a Practical Home Nursing certification obtained in New York in 2018, and a Newborn Care/Nanny Certification earned in 2026 and I'm certified in CPR/AED. These qualifications have provided me with a strong foundation in infant care, safety, hygiene, feeding support, and recognizing the needs of newborns. Throughout my career, I have cared for infants and young children in both professional and family settings. I am experienced in feeding, diapering, bathing, soothing, establishing healthy routines, monitoring infant well-being, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. I understand the importance of providing not only excellent care for the baby/toddler but also support and reassurance for parents during the transition into newborn care. In addition to my professional experience, I have cared for my own grandchildren and have a genuine love for helping children thrive. I am patient, dependable, disciplined, adaptable, and a quick learner. I adjust easily to new environments I take pride in creating a calm, nurturing atmosphere where babies/toddlers can feel secure and parents can have peace of mind knowing their child is receiving attentive and loving care.
