I will be giving birth at Richmond Birth Centre and am looking for someone who: • Has solid experience supporting births and is comfortable with early labour, active labour and postpartum support • Lives in or is very close to Richmond and can provide reliable, short notice/on-call support when labour begins • Is fully vaccinated and up to date with routine vaccinations • Is calm, supportive and reassuring, especially for a first-time mother who may need some extra emotional reassurance • Is available for birth support on an hourly basis, as I would prefer to pay based on the actual hours of support rather than a fixed package • Is also available for overnight newborn/postpartum support after the birth My preference would be to start with birth support on an hourly basis. If we are a good fit and I am happy with the support, I would be interested in continuing with the same doula for overnight postpartum/newborn support during the first few weeks. I believe in natural childbirth and want zero intervention. I plan to give birth in Richmond hospital. I have given birth twice: 1) a healthy vaginal birth and 2) pre term birth at 19 weeks. This is my third birth, second child. I studied hypnobirthing and want to practice it throughout birth.
