We are hoping you can provide us with specific, actionable ways for Shaheen to support me during pregnancy, especially during labor, and during the postpartum period. I try to live a more holistic life style these days and after becoming aware of the pharmaceutical industry and how they operate in the US. I am planning to give birth at home, in Dublin California. I’m mainly looking for a midwife and possibly a doula for support. I am planning to use my insurance at Kaiser for my scans up through the third trimester, and mainly want the midwife and possible doula team for delivery. I imagine visiting with them beforehand, but relying on my insurance for everything else leading up to delivery. Budget is $5k or less I want to give birth at home, unmedicated, with minimal interventions.
