About me

Hi my name is Ashley Whether you are a first time mom or a seasoned pro you want to be supported. My approach to working as a doula is to encourage you to be vocal about your needs while creating a safe environment. Birth is exciting but at times can be filled with a lot of uncertainty. As your doula we will work together to create your ideal birth plan but I also prepare you for alternative situations that might occur. We all have an idea of what we want our birth to look like whether it's in a hospital, a water birth, or just simply being surrounded by those we cherish the most. I want you to reach your goal. Our weeks together will be spent on creating that plan for you and I encourage those closest to you to be your support system as well. The goal is for a healthy mom and baby. At the end of your birthing journey I hope to leave you and your love ones feeling stronger and confident as you embark on this new journey of motherhood.

Frequently asked questions

As a doula can you accompany me to my prenatal visits?

Yes! I prefer going to prenatal visits with you so I know the progression of your birth.

I'm already in my third trimester, is it too late to start looking for a doula?

No! I accept moms three weeks prior to their due date

I don't like to be touched nor do I want to do any birthing exercises, as a doula how can you assist me?

That's okay! Some moms would prefer to be encourage through words. As a doula, my job is to make sure your birthing plan is met. I can assist you in others ways like getting you water and snacks, help when you may need to use the bathroom or for moms doing this alone(what a warrior!) just a familiar face in the room. You tell me how you want me to help you and I will do everything possible to make sure those needs are met.

I am a VBAC, do you still offer doula services?

Yes! VBAC moms also can benefit from having a doula. Remember every birth is different. As a doula, I want you to give birth feeling strong and in control regardless of previous birth experiences.
