I would like support during birth and after as a priority and a little bit of prep before. I'd also like the Doula to accept Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.

First baby, planning on giving birth with park slope midwives (NY Presbyterian Methodist) and would love someone with experience attending births there. My preference is an unmedicated vaginal birth, though I am open to an epidural and other interventions if labor calls for it. Because this is my first birth, I am looking for a doula who uses a fact- and evidence-based approach to help me and my partner navigate the labor process with clear data, statistics, and calm guidance. My main priorities for support are guidance through physical pain relief techniques, evidence-based informational support, and strong, seamless advocacy within a hospital setting.
