The cost of a night nanny in Atlanta, GA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Atlanta, GA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. Dear Hiring Family, I am excited to apply for the Newborn Care Specialist/Professional Nanny position. With more than a decade of experience across healthcare and childcare settings, including private newborn care, professional childcare, and NICU experience at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, I bring a unique combination of nurturing, hands-on infant experience, safety awareness, professionalism, and genuine compassion for children and their families. My private nanny experience began when I was entrusted with the care of an infant at approximately eight weeks old. I initially provided overnight newborn care and postpartum support as the mother recovered and later transitioned back to work. My responsibilities included overnight feedings, diapering, bathing, soothing, maintaining sleep and bedtime routines, cleaning and sanitizing bottles, infant laundry, nursery organization, and supporting the family’s established breastfeeding and bottle-feeding routines. As the child grew, I remained with the family for several years and was also trusted to provide extended and overnight care during parental travel. My experience later expanded into the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta – Scottish Rite. In addition to supporting the NICU team and families, I regularly assisted with hands-on newborn support as needed, including feeding, holding, comforting, and assisting with bathing premature and medically fragile infants. Working three 12-hour overnight shifts each week strengthened my ability to remain attentive, patient, calm, and dependable throughout the night while also giving me invaluable experience in an environment where safety and attention to detail were paramount. Earlier in my career, I spent three years in the Life Time Fitness Kids Activity Center caring for children ranging from three months to 12 years old. I am currently BLS/CPR certified, have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, and am pursuing an associate degree in Surgical Technology with a professional interest in pediatric surgery. I also plan to pursue doula certification as I continue expanding my knowledge of newborn and postpartum support. What I value most in private childcare is becoming someone both the child and parents can genuinely trust. I understand that inviting a caregiver into your home—particularly to care for a newborn—is an incredibly personal decision. I take that responsibility seriously and strive to provide children with a safe, attentive, nurturing, and developmentally supportive environment while respecting each family’s routines, preferences, privacy, and parenting philosophy. I would welcome the opportunity to learn more about your family and discuss how my experience could support your children and household. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the possibility of speaking with you. Warmly, Iniah Fletcher
