Hi there, my name is Jenny- may I am a single mama to soon to be 5 children. I’m currently 17 weeks and 5 days pregnant with my 5th baby and moving to the Cobourg area. I have been having the hardest time finding a midwife that has availability to assist me with my planned home birth ( waitlisted everywhere) or not in the catchment. I have spoke with some other doulas and friends and have decided that I’m open to an unassisted home birth if necessary. It had come to my attention that there is a term called Traditional Birth Assistants who are not medical professionals but perhaps have more experience with the birth process. It is my understanding that these Birth assistants are typically found by word of mouth. I was wondering if you had any knowledge of anyone practicing this in the Cobourg or surrounding areas?

I need someone to help assist me in the hospital when I’m in labour and keep the doctors off me and keep them from doing what I don’t want them to do. And help my husband know what to do during that time to help make the labor easier.

In need of doula services for going into labor and delivery. Previous back surgery and hardware in my back yet I was able to deliver naturally with my first. It still was somewhat traumatic in a lot of ways like giving birth on my back, pain, blood loss and tearing. They kept me for almost 4 days to make sure I was okay. I came out of it pretty dizzy and almost fainting trying to walk to the bathroom. If there is any additional support I can get I need to try. Budget is around 500-1000. Hopefully insurance or payment plans are available. Im also looking for an acupuncturist to manage my pain. I have a toddler at home that will be missing her mommy if I cant show up for her and new baby as need be. Breastfeeding also puts me in severe pain with my back and I need to be able to manage it postpartum with continuing treatment. So far ive had medical massage 3 times with my pregnancy to manage my sciatica and it has helped immensely. Looking to expand on my pain management in these last 2 months and going forward with the right guidance and someone with years of experience.

Would like to deliver and have appointments in the privacy of my home if possible

I’m alone here in the state and I’m worried of not being able to take care of my self or the baby in case my delivery was hard. My husband has a lot of work and I might be home alone most of time. I want to make sure someone helps if I had a surgery or a hard delivery. I’m giving birth at WAKEMED Raleigh. I’m on Medicaid and I don’t have a plan.

I would like to get a doula for an all natural delivery. Planning to give birth at the BirthPlace NCH, Naples. I would like to know the pricing I should expect.

NCH birth place $1000 or less I really just need someone there while I’m giving birth to be my voice. My husband and I HATE confrontation so we get pushed a lot despite me having a very specific birth plan. This will be my fifth birth so I know what I want and don’t want. I want 100% hands off, no intervention unless I have given complete informed consent.
