Giving birth and at Novant Hospital in Bolivia NC. Budget is undetermined as I’m willing to hear prices and pay if the fit seems right. Birth plan so far consists of preferring a natural birth in the hospital and I’d like a Christian/faith based doula to assist with pain release, coping and for over all support and to teach my husband the wonders of the woman’s body in Gods design |

Location: Oak Hill, Franklin Farm, VA 20171, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 29, 2026
I am hoping to give birth in a hospital and I would like to find a doula that accepts insurance. I am interested in having a natural birth with no induction. I am also open to having an epidural but I have 3 sisters who have all given birth naturally to all of their babies so I think I can do it too. I'm looking for additional support specifically at birth. My husband is very supportive but he also has some anxiety in medical situations and we both think it would be great to have an in-person doula for additional and experienced support. |

Location: Bon Air, VA 23235, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: December 16, 2025
we plan to give birth at Bon Secour St. Mary's hospital. We're first time parents but are a little older (32 & 40) and would love some extra help in the delivery room and after birth. So far we've had very few complications and are hoping to have a natural birth with an epidural for pain management with very few if any friends and family around. |

Location: Bon Air, VA 23235, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 08, 2026
I plan to give birth in the hospital. Estimated budget $1,000 - $2,000. For our birth plan, I plan to go natural and do breathing techniques and manage the pain on my own. If I need intervention then I may opt for Epidural. But I still would like to be in positions fitted for having the epidural. I do not want to labor on my back. I would like for our birth to be peaceful and beautiful. |

Heather is looking for Birth Doula
|
Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: April 28, 2026
Giving birth in Fredericksburg, Virginia (Mary Washington Hospital.) EDD is 4/28/26 but I am AMA and have been told they won't let me go past 39 weeks, which would be delivery around 4/21. It is the first birth for both me and my husband. I have gestational diabetes but it is fully diet controlled and I've been given no indication that I'll need to be induced earlier or have a c-section. I am hopeful to go spontaneously before needing to be induced, because I really want to avoid an epidural (I don't mind other pain meds, but I do not want to be numb), and I've heard that being induced makes it much more likely you'll need an epidural. We've done all of our birth classes already (labor and delivery, breastfeeding, home with baby) so mostly looking for delivery support at this point. Never thought about using a doula until this last week or so, which is why I'm a little late to the game! |

I plan to give birth at Sentara in Woodbridge but my OB’s office is in Stafford. I have Medicaid. I don’t have a birth plan but I’d like help creating one. I’ve had past miscarriages and this pregnancy has been healthy, but lonely and scary. I’d like the support of a doula for many reasons. |

Brittany is looking for Postpartum Doula, OB-GYN, Birth Doula
|
Location: Fredericksburg, VA 22401, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: August 04, 2026
Status: 21 Weeks | First Pregnancy Insurance: United FAMIS Moms (Medicaid) Location: Stafford, VA I am 21 weeks into a high-risk pregnancy and am looking for a new doula to join my care team. After waiting 10 years for this miracle, I’ve spent this pregnancy navigating some very difficult hurdles and I’m really looking forward to finally having some peace and consistent support. My Journey So Far: Medical & Career Hurdles: Early delays in my medical care made it impossible to get work accommodations in time, which unfortunately led to me being fired. The "Shuffling" Challenge: I’ve seen 4 different doctors plus the ER since January. I’m often sent for labs without getting to discuss the results with the same provider. This lack of continuity is causing a lot of physical stress, and I’m looking for someone to help me stabilize this process. Communication Needs: I am transitioning from my current doula because I’ve realized I need a more "hands-on" style of communication. A 3-4 day wait for a reply has been difficult for me; I’m hoping to find someone who can check in more regularly and help me tackle specific tasks as they come up. What I’m Looking For in a Doula: A True Advocate: Someone to help me feel heard in the medical system and ensure my care plan is consistent. Goal-Oriented Support: I’m looking for someone who enjoys the "resource" side of birth work—helping find solutions for things like housing transitions, move-out volunteers, and medical coordination. Mandatory Requirements: Insurance: Please be a credentialed provider with United FAMIS Moms. I am unable to pay out-of-pocket at this time. Platform Messaging: Please message me here on BornBir so I can keep my notifications in one place! |

Due date or baby's birthday: May 13, 2026
Due Date: May 2026 Partner & Support Person: Husband Hospital/Birth Center: Mary Washington Hospital OB/Midwife: __________________ Pediatrician: __________________ ⸻ Labor Environment • I would like a dark, quiet room with soft meditation music (playlist: https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/gisels-labor-playlist/pl.u-jV89BGWFdJGxP9). • My husband will provide massage and emotional support throughout labor. • Please limit unnecessary talking to maintain a calm environment. ⸻ Comfort & Movement I plan to use natural pain coping methods first: • Breathing techniques • Movement and positioning (not bed-bound if possible) • Massage and counter-pressure from my partner • Birthing ball • Warm shower or tub • Heat/cold packs • Visualization and calming music • Essential oils if allowed by hospital If pain becomes too intense to manage naturally, I request an epidural without delay. Continuous support from my partner is very important. ⸻ Pushing & Delivery • I would like to push from my diaphragm with calm, controlled guidance. • I want the freedom to push in different positions (hands-and-knees, squatting, side-lying, etc.) for comfort and effective delivery. • I would like my husband to cut the cord. ⸻ After Birth – Mom Care • I would like my placenta delivered naturally, assisted if needed. • Please inform me before postpartum interventions. • I do not wish to keep my placenta. • Post-delivery support if available: • Latch support • Bleeding/uterus check with explanation • Recovery care guidance ⸻ After Birth – Baby Care • Delayed cord clamping until cord stops pulsing or for at least 2–3 minutes if medically safe. • Immediate skin-to-skin if possible. • Breastfeeding within the first hour if possible; no pacifiers or bottles unless medically needed. • Newborn eye ointment and vitamin K: apply after skin-to-skin and first breastfeeding session if safe. • First bath delayed 12–24 hours to preserve vernix and support bonding, temperature regulation, and breastfeeding if safe. • Measurements and birth weight after skin-to-skin and first breastfeeding session if baby is stable. ⸻ Visitors & Communication • Only husband + one support person (Mom) allowed during active labor and delivery. • After birth care, grandparents may visit: • Noel Sanders-Williams • Nathan Williams • Tyneasha Banks • Larry Banks • I prefer clear, calm explanations from staff. ⸻ Medical Interventions I would like to avoid interventions unless medically necessary: • IV: Only if medically necessary • Continuous fetal monitoring: Only if required • Induction: Only if medically recommended • Artificial rupture of membranes: Avoid unless needed • Episiotomy: Avoid unless absolutely necessary • Forceps/Vacuum: Only if medically required • C-section: I want to be fully informed and involved in the decision I understand interventions may be needed for my or my baby’s safety and trust my care team to discuss them with me. In case of unexpected C-section: • I would like my partner to stay with me if allowed. • Skin-to-skin and breastfeeding support as soon as possible after surgery. |
