My name is Atqiya, and I’m currently planning to give birth at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP). I’m looking for a doula who aligns with my approach to birth and can provide grounded, supportive care. My budget is between $1,600–$2,000 and I’d also like to ask if you accept Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield. Here’s an overview of my birth plan and preferences: Labor Preferences • I’d like a calm, low-stress atmosphere with dim lighting and minimal interruptions. • I want freedom to move, walk, or change positions throughout labor. • Avoid induction or unnecessary interventions unless medically required. • Intermittent monitoring and to labor as long as safely possible before any interventions. Pain Management • I’d like to start with natural comfort methods (breathing, movement, massage, warm shower, birth ball). • If I need pain relief, I’m open to discussing options, including an epidural Pushing & Delivery • I’d like to push in whatever position feels most natural. •I prefer delayed cord clamping (1–2 minutes or until the cord stops pulsing). After Birth • I’d like immediate skin-to-skin contact and to initiate breastfeeding within the first hour. • Routine newborn procedures can wait until after bonding time. • If I’m unable to hold the baby, I’d like the baby to be geld by my husband or mother for skin-to-skin. Cultural Preference • As part of our Islamic tradition, my husband would like to quietly recite the adhan (call to prayer) in our baby’s ear shortly after birth. This takes only a moment and can be done quietly once the baby is stable. This is my first baby, and I’m 35, so I value clear communication and gentle guidance throughout labor and delivery. I plan on having an at home birth. I am still learning about prices would love to use my insurance. Let my body do the work and listen to my body. Move to different positions to help the baby and have my body push the baby out.

I plan to give birth in a hospital. I don’t really have an estimated budget as I’m not very familiar with doulas & how much they typically charge. I would like to have an unmediated, Christian faith based birth.

Breastfeeding/ pumping help. I have inverted/ flat nipples and can't figure out the right size flange and can't get my daughter to latch very well especially after having a bottle. I keep getting clogged milk ducts that are extremely painful in both breast. And my nipples are very sore all the time. Something is wrong and I can't figure it out. Doulas need to have NPI TIN numbers to request for reimbursement Doulas do not have to be part of the Kaiser network for this coverage

Hospital with a midwife. Third pregnancy would like to go unmedicated. Had epidural with other two pregnancies. Delivered at same hospital. Would like to have a doula to coach through the birthing and try to help me stay unmedicated throughout.
