We are expecting our first baby this fall and are looking for an experienced, warm, and reliable newborn care provider to support our family in Manhattan during the early postpartum period. We do not have family nearby who will be able to provide regular hands-on help, so we are hoping to find someone who can help us feel more supported and confident as first-time parents. We are especially interested in someone with significant newborn and infant experience, ideally at least 3–5 years. Infant CPR/First Aid certification is strongly preferred, and experience or training as a postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, baby nurse, or similar provider would be a plus. We do not require a second language. The primary responsibility will be helping care for our newborn, including feeding support, diapering, soothing, burping, bottle preparation and cleaning, and helping us establish healthy, age-appropriate sleep habits. If I am breastfeeding or pumping, we would also appreciate someone who is comfortable supporting those routines and coordinating bottles or feeds as needed. We are not looking for strict sleep training with a very young newborn, but we would value someone knowledgeable about newborn sleep who can help us gradually establish good routines. We would also appreciate light baby-related household help during downtime, such as washing bottles and pump parts, baby laundry, tidying the nursery and baby areas, restocking changing supplies, and occasionally preparing a simple meal or snack for me. We are not looking for a full housekeeper. One parent will be home, and my husband will generally be working, including working from home some days, so we are looking for someone who is comfortable working alongside us rather than providing completely independent childcare. We would especially value someone who is willing to teach and guide us rather than simply taking over baby care. Our target budget is approximately $30 per hour, although we are open to discussing the rate depending on experience, certifications, schedule, and responsibilities. We are also open to discussing a schedule that gives us the most useful support within our budget, such as several daytime shifts per week or targeted postpartum support during the first few weeks.

We’re a family in Dobbs Ferry, NY 10522 (Westchester Rivertowns; Metro-North Hudson Line stop in town, parking available) expecting our second child, due Oct 14 and home around Oct 16–17. We’re looking for an overnight newborn care specialist, night nanny or postpartum doula for 3–4 nights a week for 4 weeks, from about Oct 17 to Nov 14, with a possible extension. Nights: ideally Mon/Wed/Fri, plus Sun if 4 nights; a Sun–Wed block also works. Shift: 9 or 10 pm to 7 am, awake the whole time. The last 30 minutes are a reset: wash and sterilize bottles and pump parts, restock the fridge with labeled bottles, update the feed/sleep/diaper log. Feeding: my wife is nursing and pumping (hands-free pump), with ready-to-feed formula as backup. You’d bring the baby to her to nurse at wake-ups, or feed pumped milk, then take him back for burping, changing and resettling. Real experience supporting a nursing-and-pumping mom matters most to us. You and the baby would have a room downstairs (pack ‘n play, chair, bottle warmer, a cooler of labeled bottles); you’d bring him upstairs to my wife to nurse, and the kitchen with the sterilizer is next to you for the end-of-shift reset. Must-haves: infant CPR current; NCS certification or three recent overnight references; background check; Tdap, flu and RSV vaccines current (COVID preferred); strict AAP safe sleep (back, flat, bare surface); reliable transport to Dobbs Ferry. Nice to have: lactation training, postpartum doula experience, Spanish. Pay: $40–55/hr depending on experience, paid W-2 through a household payroll service, weekly direct deposit. Looking for a birth doula as well as a baby/night nanny. Does not have to be the same person. I will be giving birth at Mt Sinai hospital in NYC (birth doula) but live in Pelham NY (night nanny). The doula must be certified through DONA International, ICEA or National Black Doula's Association as a doula. Must speak English. Must have at least 5-6 years experience. I need a Doula to help with the baby after birth, during the day for 3-4 days the beginning, help with washing the baby and changing diapers and then just at night to wash and feed the baby, rock the baby back to sleep or change diapers, etc as needed. My budget is max $2,500, I’d like to have someone for at least 2 weeks if not 3 weeks after birth, depending on their rate. Will be helpful if they also can help take out the garbage to the curb, since I hear babies go through diapers very quickly. (I also need help with feeding the cat, 1-2 times at night if he cries for food as well). This is my first child, so I may also need some training and advice on what to do.
