Looking to get more information on a night nurse who can help first time parents after the birth of our baby. We would ideally be looking only for nights, for roughly 2 weeks after the baby is born so that we can rest and then get support for feeding, bathing, and getting used to a newborn. We are going to deliver at the Morgan Stanley children’s hospital in NYC and our estimated budget is 30.00/hour.

I am a trans man. I am seeking a birth doula who is invested in supporting trans pregnancy and the many complications of experiencing dysphoria in pregnancy, and supporting my needs as a trans parent through the birthing process. Additionally, I have hypertension and rheumatoid arthritis, and persistent proteinuria and am seeing a high risk doctor for my birth. I would like to have a non-c-section in the hospital setting with my MFM practice, and be supported in my needs as a gestational parent and birthing person. Also I would like a doula who is equipped to support my wife as non-gestational parent and new queer parents. We have dealt with loss (she had an early miscarriage when we TTC'd earlier in life) and this has impacted my experience of pregnancy as well. I plan to give birth at NYU Langone. Our estimated budget for a doula is $2500, but we are just starting this journey and are open to alternatives.

Learn how to burp. Understand the different cries to address it properly. How to deal with baby when constipated.

My husband and I are looking for a bilingual speaking doula (spanish & english). We live in south brooklyn, but the delivery will be in the city NYP. We would like a the doula that is familiar with hypnobirthing and to be present to support us both and some hours for Post-Partum care during the week. My birthplan includes hypnotherapy techniques, soft dim lighting and music, i would like laughter and peacefulness during the natural birth. Plan to give birth in hospital, have no spousal support. Would rather have doula in room during birth process .. my parents, I’d like them to come in once the birth is complete and I’m covered, out of the respect of our culture, but I definitely would love support during that time. My budget.. well I’m struggling with medical bills and legal fees and no job so I am looking for free doulas in this difficult time, or would hope my doula takes my insurance for billing - I have anthem blue cross blue shield ppo/epo plan, if that’s something she takes. My birth plan is natural but if it gets overwhelmingly difficult then c section. I am thinking epidural (maybe?) but I really dont want to give birth on my back..main goal- no episiotomy unless absolutely necessary, next main goal- avoid tearing .. heard wet rags help with elasticity, and would advocate no men and minimal resident learning on me as I don’t want to be a guinea pig and have them examine my cervix every few.
