I am a registered naturopathic doctor practicing virtually. My clinical specialties are women's health, fertility, and preconception. I also see women with concerns that they often need support with such as digestive concerns, endocrine issues, autoimmune diseases, and anxiety and depression. I always strive to find the root cause. As a doula, my practice focuses on providing personalized support + information access to birthing people + their families throughout pregnancy, birth + the postpartum journey. My services are designed to complement + enhance the care provided by the birthing person's medical team. I use evidence-based strategies to help my clients prepare both physically + mentally for birth, while also fostering a sense of connection + community.

Sarah was a great addition to the birth of my 1st daughter, Lilah. My husband and I were nervous going into the process, and didn't really know what to expect, and wanted to know everything we could. My husband and I did not hire Sarah until a month prior to our scheduled induction, as we had not fully committed to hiring a doula. Once we did, Sarah made sure to come to our house several times to go over all of the planning of our birthplan, going over several movements/positions, and overall informing us of the process and what to expect. She was very calming and reassuring even though we were nervous. Sarah did a great job of informing us about the processes involved in my induction, she was very knowledgeable about different movements and positions to encourage baby to move, and was super helpful in keeping my husband and I calm, as we tend to have higher anxiety generally. During the labor process, Sarah was extremely mindful of our wishes, and conveying them with the staff and making sure that I had autonomy over my experience and that decisions were not going to be made for me or pushed at me. She explained things to me that I didn't quite understand when doctors came in, and made sure my voice was heard. After the birth, she stayed with me until I was moved and settled, and even came to visit us when we came home from the hospital. She is also coming over again to meet to see how things are going, and help me plan my return to work. I would definitely recommend Sarah to everybody, even if you have gone through the birthing process before, as she is wonderful at making the experience more intimate and precious. Thank you Sarah for everything you did!

I am a South Minneapolis-based birth doula and massage therapist. I have been a bodyworker for eight years, and co-own Total Solace Massage in Uptown, Minneapolis. I have attended trainings by DONA (2018) and Community Aware Birthworker (2024). My approach to birth is open-minded. I believe my role is to help you have the right experience for you, to make sure you know what options you have, and then help you navigate whatever is in the cards. Regardless of your birthing wishes, I bring my grounded, dedicated presence to my clients before, during and after the birthing time. Much of my life orbits care-work, especially through building strong community connections and supporting human bodies as they navigate change. Outside of birth and bodywork, I train in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, I’m slowly learning to bake bread, and I am trying to befriend the neighborhood crows.

Here is a little background on me (the short version) - I started working at KinderCare during my summers in college. 2016-2018. August of 2018 I started nannying for a 15 month old while I was still finishing my Bachelors Degree. I stayed with that family until I graduated college in May of 2020. (I actually still have contact with this family and remain very close with them.) I graduated college from UMN Twin Cities with a BS in Child Developmental Psychology. After college I worked as an ABA therapist for Kiddos with Autism. Then I moved to a school district and worked in SPED with kiddos with EBD (emotional behavioral disorder). Finally that brings me to my current job 2020-now. I work as a Guardian ad Litem for the State of Minnesota. Essentially a cross between an attorney and a child advocate in the family court system. I am looking for some part time work for a couple of reasons, but the main reason is I recently lost my mom to chemotherapy complications in May of 2024. Since then I have been trying to find things that bring me joy in such dark times. Children are that joy for me. While I work with children in my regular career, I want to get back to my roots in providing direct one on one care for kiddos.

Hi there! I'm a bebo mia trained full spectrum doula, specializing in fertility and birth support. I have a background in software development and management, spending over seven years working in the corporate world. Problem solving, research, planning and teaching others are some of my favorite things - I can't wait to help you! My own conception and birth stories are what lead me to become a doula. Feeling the difference in support level that comes from hiring a doula firsthand, I can truly say that no one should have to go without. My births were also vastly different, so in addition to training I also have first hand experiences in both medicated and unmedicated birth, inductions and waterbirth.

My background is as a licensed health professional within the field of occupational therapy, so it will surprise no one that client-centered care, coupled with the provision of evidence-based information, is my default orientation. You’ll hear a lot about my passion for comprehensive women’s health throughout the human lifespan, in all its beauty and complexity. Research shows that regardless of culture or country of origin, women who are supported, who are held by their communities, who take advantage of educational opportunities and family connections -- who are given access to the things they need -- are healthier. Reproductive health is a keystone of women’s overall wellbeing, and I view birth education, combined with perinatal support, to be a key factor in setting women up for long, happy, healthy, well-lived lives. I bring a wide lens to birthwork and aim to provide support for the entire childbearing year. Above all, I have a heart for maternal mental health. People need to talk about mental health as much as they talk about physical health. We’re getting there as a society, but we’re not there yet.

Hi families! My name is Lillian, and I would love to be your birth doula and/or night nanny! I have been professionally trained by Dr. Robin Elise Weiss through DONA International and have been working with babies and in childcare for 5+ years. I am so excited to begin this incredible journey with you. I have always been passionate about working with families and babies in whatever capacity I could, and I aspire to be a midwife and eventually own/run a birth center focusing on holistic care. I strongly believe that birth is a beautiful, natural process that a woman’s body was made to do and that you, as the birthing person, are wholly capable of bringing your baby into the world. So, my goal is to support you in doing that however you may need! I have always been told that I have a very calming presence, even by strangers and those who don’t know I am in birth work, and I plan to bring that to every birth I attend, along with my active listening skills, assurance, and knowledge. Together, we will make sure your birth is as comfortable and empowering as possible, I can’t wait to work with you!

I am 21 years old and I am also married with 2 wonderful children! I had a doula for my first birth and I've never felt so secure. I had someone who had me, my boundaries and wants in mind. I never knew what i wanted to do as a career and after that whole experience I knew exactly what i wanted to do. Birth is such a vulnerable process and emotions are high. My goal as a Doula is to remind mothers that they are powerful and courageous! I love the feeling when i see mothers realize they are meant for this and they can do it with out a doubt!!<3

I’ve personally known cylena since elementary so when I got pregnant and heard she was becoming a doula I knew I made the perfect decision having her be apart of my first pregnancy journey. She made my labor experience go very smooth and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. She advocated for me at the times I wasn’t able to and made sure I was getting the care I needed and some. Working with cylena will be the best decision you ever make and I’m not being biased! She loves what she does and she’s great at it.

I spent most of my career as a Television, Web and Podcast Producer, but after having two children and three grandbabies, I realized one of my greatest joys is caring for newborns and their parents. Having a baby is amazing but it also can be exhausting and overwhelming, filled with uncertainty and worry. I want to make this life-transforming transition easier on new families who may not have support nearby. Think of me as the mom or aunt who wants to give you and your baby lots of loving care and help, without emotional baggage or past issues! My goal is to help YOU learn how to be confident and competent parents while providing your precious baby another caring adult to give them a healthy and welcoming start to life.
