I am currently planning to give birth at cdh. I’m not sure what an appropriate budget for a doula is so I guess I’m interested in rates. I’d hope to not go over a thousand dollars but like I said I don’t know what is appropriate. I’d like to give birth with the least amount of interventions possible. I will be doing a vbac labor, my first baby will be 2 and 2 months at the date of the delivery and was a cesarían because she was breech presenting.

I want a more holistic approach for ultra sounds using a fetoscope.

I plan to give birth at Advocate Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL. I'm open to budget options. On my birth plan, it includes an expectation of vaginal delivery with husband and Doula present, no medical students in the room. I would like to use laboring tools, dim lights, free movement, light musics, quiet voices, and aromatherapy. I would like intermittent fetal monitoring. As far as pain management, breathing techniques, massages, hydrotherapy, and as a last resort an option/ open to epidural. My delivery options are squatting, standing/leaning or kneeling on all fours. Warm compress on perinuum. No delivery interventions. I would like to keep my placenta for encapsulation. For baby, skin to skin with golden hour, delayed cord clamping, breastfeeding and pumping (bottle feeding), delayed bath time, circumcision and no nursery stay (baby stays in room) also delay on vaccinations.

Hi! This is my first pregnancy and delivery. I am planning to give birth at Advent Health’s UChicago at Hinsdale. I was looking for doula services that would be covered by my Medicaid’s BCBS Community health insurance. My hope is to have a vaginal delivery. I believe a doula can be my source of the much needed guidance, assistance, and strength I’ll require experiencing labor and delivery for the first time. Location: Still looking into it, but possibly giving birth at a birthing center or riley maternity tower needs: Informational help, coming up with a solid birth plan. Hi! I wanted to share a little about the support I’m hoping for during labor. I’d really like to try for an unmedicated birth if possible, so having help with breathing, positioning, and counter pressure during contractions would mean a lot. My priorities are being able to move freely, delivering in the position I choose, delayed cord clamping, and keeping interventions minimal if everything is safe. I’d also love a calm, dark, peaceful environment. My pregnancy has IUGR, so there’s a chance I may need to deliver earlier than expected. I’m hoping for someone who can support me emotionally, help advocate for me if needed, and also guide my partner on how he can best support me during labor. I’m planning to use Medicaid/Blue Cross Community if possible, and I also wanted to ask if it would be possible to be matched with a Caucasian doula for my own comfort. Thank you! 🤍
