I'm 26 years old and a first-time mom, feeling a bit overwhelmed since I don't have experience with motherhood. I'm looking for support from Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and hoping to find a free doula to assist me with my newborn during my postpartum period, as I don't work and can't afford extra help. My goal is to have a natural vaginal birth without using an epidural. I have a Meridian Health plan. Looking for a postpartum doula to help after the baby is born for just 2-3 hours.

I plan to give birth at the Evanston NorthShore Labor/Delivery Hospital. I am on Medicaid but I wouldn’t want to spend more than 300$ out of pocket. I want to birth as natural as possible, I wouldn’t want an epidural unless it really comes down to it. I would want to avoid any cutting or tearing in my vagina. I’d like to push out naturally rather than get a C- section.

We will be giving birth at the Burlington Iowa Hospital and are currently expecting a due date of March 30th however, at my last check up I was measuring 3 weeks ahead so have a growth ultrasound in 2 weeks.
