Hi, I’m Brandi! I’m a Certified Labor Doula and student at Sherman College of Chiropractic with a passion for helping mothers and families feel informed, prepared, and supported throughout pregnancy and birth. I believe there is no one “right” way to give birth. Whether you're hoping for an unmedicated birth, planning an epidural, preparing for an induction or cesarean, or still figuring out what feels right for you, my role is to support your choices without judgment. I especially enjoy helping families understand the “why” behind birth through education, hands-on preparation, comfort techniques, and meaningful conversations before labor begins. My approach is warm, calm, and educational, with a special interest in maternal health and Black maternal health education. My goal is for you to enter your birth feeling heard, supported, and confident in the decisions you make for yourself and your baby.

What to expect

I provide personalized doula support designed to help mothers and their families feel prepared, informed, and supported throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, and the early postpartum period. My services include prenatal preparation, birth preference discussions, comfort measures and labor positioning, support for your chosen support person, continuous emotional and physical support during labor, and postpartum follow-up. I believe support should be individualized, so whether you're planning an unmedicated birth, epidural, induction, or cesarean, I will meet you where you are and support the choices that feel right for you and your family.

What makes your doula support different?

My approach is focused on helping you feel prepared, informed, and genuinely supported throughout pregnancy and birth. I combine compassionate doula support with my background in anatomy and physiology to help you understand your body, prepare for labor, explore comfort techniques and positioning, and feel confident asking questions about your care. Whether you’re planning an unmedicated birth, epidural, induction, or cesarean birth, my goal is never to push a certain type of birth, but to help you feel heard, respected, and supported in the choices that are right for you.

What can I expect when working with you as my doula?

You can expect me to take the time to really get to know you, what matters to you, and how you want to feel during your birth. I love education, so a big part of my approach is helping you understand your options, prepare for what to expect, and practice comfort techniques and positioning before labor begins. I’m also very big on creating a space where you can ask questions, change your mind, and be yourself without feeling judged. When birth day comes, my goal is to be a calm, familiar presence who supports both you and your support person while helping you feel confident using your own voice.

Do you support different types of birth plans?

Absolutely. I don’t believe there is one “right” way to give birth. Whether you’re hoping for an unmedicated birth, planning an epidural, preparing for an induction or cesarean, or you’re simply not sure yet, I’ll meet you where you are. My role is to help you understand your options, prepare for the birth you’re hoping for, and continue supporting you if plans change along the way. Most importantly, I want you to feel heard, respected, and confident in the decisions you make for yourself and your baby.

What is your philosophy on birth and the body’s natural process?

I believe the body was beautifully designed with the ability to move through the natural process of labor and birth, and I love helping mothers understand and trust that process. My approach is to support the body through movement, positioning, comfort measures, and allowing labor to unfold without unnecessary interference when possible. At the same time, I understand that every birth is different, and sometimes plans change or interventions become part of the journey. My goal is to support you without judgment while helping you feel informed, confident, and connected to your body throughout your birth.
