I’m looking to do a non-hospital birth and a possible water birth.

I’d like someone experienced in natural unmedicated labor there with me while I’m giving birth to my first baby at the hospital. I’d like to pay with insurance and hope to have a smooth and easy birth with the peace of mind of having someone to advocate for me.

Update: looking for an individual who accepts TRICARE, even if it’s not in network. Having baby 3 at Hartford Hospital, due 2/11. Have never had a doula before, but am a little worried my husband might be traveling for the birth! Looking for services to be completely covered by Tricare ideally. Birth plan is hoped to be similar to others - labor as long as I can and then get an epidural. Have not had a C-section and am not planning on it for this baby.

I never really had a doula, an with my last child when I delivered him the had push pitocin very fast an fet like I wasn't given the chance to try natural birth at all...an I really want that with this baby since it will be my last. I will be delivering at a hospital

My Tricare plan covers up to 6 hours prior to birth and one visit during l&d. 3- I’m wanting to try for a Vbac and labor unmedicated for the majority of labor, but am open to/considering an epidural once active labor occurs. I had an emergency induction with my first pregnancy at 35 weeks due to cholestasis, and ended up having an emergency c-section as well due to failure to progress and concerns of fetal distress by my OB. It was an incredibly traumatic experience that I’m hoping to avoid this time around. My main goal is to use the least amount of medical intervention possible.

I am 32 weeks pregnant, and this is my second pregnancy. Both my past and current pregnancies have gone smoothly. I desire to have a home birth, but am open to giving birth at a birthing center with a holistic approach.

I definitely plan on getting an epidural for pain management, but I still want the experience to feel as calm and supported as possible. My budget is around $800–$1,500, depending on what’s included. I’m open to some flexibility if it’s a really good fit and includes prenatal and postpartum support. For my birth plan, I’m hoping for a smooth vaginal delivery, but I’m also realistic and open to whatever is safest for me and the baby. Since I plan on getting an epidural, I’d really like someone who can help me stay relaxed, guide me through the process, and support both me and my partner during labor. Communication is really important to me—I want to understand what’s happening and feel involved in decisions. After birth, I’d love immediate skin-to-skin contact and some guidance during those first few hours. Postpartum support would also be really helpful
