My husband and I have been undergoing IVF and just found out we are pregnant. Looking for information on doula services annd possibly postpartum care/help and costs. This is my 3rd but husband first. He’s very nervous and hoping to have help in being the best support system. Due to my age 37 and it being IVF I’m hoping to deliver in hospital the baby place in St. Petersburg. Open to water birth and understand my options but also open to epidural. I had postpartum with my oldest son just want to ensure the support is there.

I’m in need of a obgyn, i’m currently in my second trimester and switched my insurance to medicade but can’t find a doctor that accepts in my area. i’m located in bradenton but am willing to drive farther if necessary, i just really want someone understanding that this is my first baby and i need more appointments to make sure there healthy. i plan on giving birth somewhere near bradenton or sarasota but im not sure which hospital. i dont have an estimated budget i have medicade insurance. my birth plan consists of having this baby naturally and having hopefully a doula or midwife to help me through it.

I am about 15 weeks right now. I have been waiting to get accepted by Medicaid before I began searching for a doula (not to have my hopes crushed)! I am 27, and this will be my first child. It’s in my intentions to have these things available and set up in the delivery room: Essential oils and a diffuser, a small space for an “altar” of Jesus (really just a tiny ritual to feel close to him), a Himalayan salt rock, plenty of water on standby, as well as tranquil music, Italian ice and banana popsicles, and whatever else I can conjure up before the baby arrives. I do not want to be on my back giving birth. I want to be as relaxed as possible, considering my condition as a more naturally at-risk, pregnant woman. I want to be able to push quicker and easier than I may be able to on my back. If possible, I would love a short labor experience, as long as my baby allows me to.

I’m in need of a doula who can help me prepare my body for and give a natural birth. This is my fourth child. I have fibromyalgia and each of my children was born in a hospital with an epidural. I would like to avoid having to do that. There is a slight risk of shoulder distocia but I’ve only had an issue with the first child because the doctor panicked and ended up breaking my son’s arm. The other two were delivered healthy with no issues. I’m good with staying active and eating pretty healthy. My third child was actually delivered in a triage room with no Ob or doctor present. He was delivered by six nurses and a lactation consultant. I have superior Medicaid and I’m having to find a doctor late due to moving around too much.

I plan to give birth at the hospital, I want to try and have a unmedicated birth but if the pains too much I want to go over options, no epidural, I want to be able to give birth other then on my back, I want to extend cord clamping until it’s white, I don’t want the baby to leave the room if he doesn’t have too and my partner will be there with him if he has too leave the room, I don’t want my placenta yanked out,
