This with be my third time giving birth and after having complications with my first two births, I’m hoping to have someone there to advocate and speak up for me. I’m hoping to have minimal intervention from doctors/nurses - I believe being induced and frequent/unnecessary intervention (with my second which ended in emergency c-section) caused the complications. Being considered high risk now I feel like hospital staff will ignore my wants as they’ll feel they are doing what’s best. The hospital choice isn’t finalized but HCA psl is a contender. I don’t know what my budget is realistically because I’m not sure how pricing works for this service. I would prefer a doula and midwife with 10+years. If the also speak French or creole that’s a plus for me. I’m 28 having my first child and need help getting the home fully ready and a spokesperson at the birth. Post-partum help will be needed but sadly i can only based when i need service based on how the pricing looks. I would like to know hourly rate and go from there budget wise

Im 27 years old currently 20 weeks pregnant. This will be my third baby, My first baby I had to have a c section after laboring for almost 20 hours going up to 8cm dilated no epidural but baby was breech. So we ended with a c section (aug 2019). Second baby was a scheduled c section due ti previously having a c section (aug 2021) i was scheduled to have it at 1pm but ended up going in way earlier because when j was at registration and walking up to my prep room my water broke and i had contractions starting. Now this time around i really do not want to have another c section id like to have a vba2c. Im looking to have a doula for support and who is experienced in vbac. My obgyn didnt say no but just said we can talk more about it as you get further along but he did mention id have to deliver at a hospital in san antonio.
