About Caitlin

Hi there! I have a huge passion for children and their families, and I strive to provide the best care possible. I have 12 years of childcare experience. This includes church nursery, date nights, two summers of full time nannying, after school nannying, and much more. I love interacting and playing with the kids I watch, at whichever developmental stage they are in. I hold a Bachelors in Psychology, and have two years of experience working as an RBT, supporting children with autism and their families by providing behavioral therapy services and education to families in this population. My experience working both in childcare and as an RBT has taught me much patience and understanding. Each child and family is unique, and understanding, kindness, and empathy go a long way. I am currently working remotely as a Healthcare Advocate, and my schedule is very flexible. Working as a nanny for so many years, I have always adored the littles! Recently, I’ve decided to pivot my career path and am certified now as a Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula. I am very passionate about mother-baby care, and I love providing education and resources to families in such a vulnerable stage of life, and find myself thriving and enjoying these opportunities. As previously mentioned, my schedule is currently somewhat flexible, and I can often make odd times work here and there if needed. I am looking to work overnights a few days a week, but am open to other ideas as well! I am CPR certified and can provide references if you would like. I would love to chat about what I offer, and see if it’s a good fit for both parties!

Newborn Care Specialist services

I am a certified Newborn Care Specialist and Postpartum Doula. I provide overnight care for newborns, and encourage rest for family during such a beautiful but difficult season of life. It is a privilege to serve in such a sacred and vulnerable environment, and I feel so grateful to be a part of these beautiful moments. My experiences and education have left me with a huge passion to care for mom and baby. I aim to serve as an approachable presence, and though I am with each family for a limited time, the education I provide leaves each family feeling confident and well-equipped to take care of their precious little one when the contract ends. I assist with baby-related chores, including washing bottles and pump parts, assisting with baby laundry, and other related tasks. I have experience assisting mom with breastfeeding (for example identifying proper latch vs a bad latch), I can teach you how to wear your baby in a wrap, feel comfortable handling their fragile bodies (especially in the slippery bath), and have learned so many tips and tricks over the years that I would love to pass on. In addition, my educational background and degree in Psychology has equipped me to understand and prioritize Postpartum Mental Health. Overall— I want you to know you are not alone, and to feel safe and supported in my care.
