About me

My name is Noelle Voltz-Mongold (BCD), and I’m a Full Spectrum Doula serving the Shenandoah Valley, including Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, Augusta County, and Charlottesville. My journey into birth and reproductive support began in 2020 in Northern Virginia, where I first felt called to walk alongside individuals during some of the most powerful and vulnerable moments of their lives. After moving to the Valley and settling into this beautiful community, I founded Embers of Empowerment Doula Services — a name that reflects my core mission: to help ignite the inner strength that already lives within you. I believe that everyone holds embers of empowerment; sometimes, we just need the right support to help those embers grow into a steady, roaring fire. Whether you're navigating pregnancy, birth, postpartum, abortion, loss, or any part of your reproductive journey, my role is to ensure you feel empowered, heard, and respected every step of the way.

Packages
Birth Doula
*FLEXIBLE PAYMENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE* I will help you create birth and postpartum plans with your informed preferences. During pregnancy and for 1 month postpartum, you will have unlimited text/phone support during business hours (6 am–12 am). There will be 3 prenatal meetings to discuss how the pregnancy is going, whether you are experiencing any issues or complications, and to answer any questions you have. We will communicate outside of these meetings as well. I will go with you to medical appointments if you would like someone there to be a second ear or to help advocate for you. You will have access to all of my handouts, my resource list, and my lending library of books. I will provide support during your labor and birth, providing physical, emotional, and informational support. I will help you advocate for your needs and wants throughout your birth. Following the birth, I will provide up to 4 hours of support, including making sure that you are off to a strong start with breast/chestfeeding. I will also provide PMAD screenings and referrals to mental health providers when necessary. If any issues arise during the postpartum period that are outside of my scope, or if you request a referral, I will help you find the right provider for you. After the baby is born, I will provide 2 virtual* postpartum visits that will include making sure that breast/chestfeeding is still going well. You will receive 2 postpartum freezer meals from me, and whenever possible, I will set up a meal train. Included in your package is a free private childbirth education class (valued at $250). This class is a deep dive into all topics related to pregnancy, birth, and the immediate postpartum period. I will help you prepare for medical appointments, discuss things you may want to inquire about, and help you come up with any questions you might have for your doctor or midwife. I will provide evidence-based information on treatments, tests, and medications that your doctor or midwife recommends, and explain any medical terminology. * In-person postpartum visits may be provided on a case-by-case basis.
