About me

Hi, I’m Carmelina Coppola, founder of Parenting Journey & Beyond LLC. I work with expecting and first-time parents who want to feel steadier and more confident during the early days at home. My work is consultative and educational, focused on helping parents understand their baby’s cues, settle into gentle rhythms, and feel grounded in their role as caregivers. With over 30 years of experience supporting infants, children, and families across schools, community programs, and private family settings, I guide parents in a way that is non-behavioral, developmentally respectful, and rooted in connection rather than control. I do not offer sleep training or overnight care. Private ongoing support is available for families who want individualized guidance beyond a single conversation.

Service introduction

I work with expecting and first time parents who want calm informed guidance during pregnancy and the early months with their newborn. My work is consultative and educational in nature and is designed to support families as they transition into early parenthood with greater confidence clarity and steadiness. With over thirty years of experience supporting infants children and families across schools community programs and private family settings I guide parents in understanding their baby’s cues creating gentle responsive rhythms and feeling more grounded in their role as caregivers. Many parents feel prepared for birth but unprepared for what the early days at home actually feel like. My work supports families in navigating that space with understanding rather than pressure. My approach is non behavioral developmentally respectful and rooted in connection rather than control. I do not offer sleep training or overnight care. Instead I help parents learn how newborns communicate how regulation develops in the early months and how everyday interactions can support both baby and parent. Guidance may include understanding cues supporting co regulation shaping gentle daily rhythms and introducing early movement foundations in ways that feel natural and respectful. I work with families who value thoughtful individualized support rather than quick fixes. Sessions are tailored to the family’s specific questions concerns and stage of development and focus on practical understanding rather than rigid techniques. Parents are supported in making sense of what they are seeing with their baby and in finding approaches that align with their values and family life. In addition to private consults I also offer parent education and workshops for expecting and first time families through community and institutional settings. These conversations are designed to normalize the early parenting experience reduce overwhelm and help parents feel more prepared for the transition home. Private ongoing support is available for families who want continuity beyond a single conversation as their baby grows and changes. My practice is intentionally small and focused to allow for personalized guidance and presence.
