I plan to give birth at a hospital (at Multicare Capital Medical Center). My insurance covers $2000 for a doula. I do not know my birth plan yet.

first baby, i am very nervous and most likely will be opting for an epidural. will be having her in the hospital. my mother lives out of state so its possible she might not make it for labor and delivery which im very sad about. Im really just wanting support and advocacy for myself since im not too sure about all the complexities involved during L&D and i try my best to not overwhelm myself with social media and information on the internet as it overwhelms me and i also dont trust it. I am covered under medicaid so need a doula that is contracted with medicaid. Im very chill and dont have a birth plan im more so focused on trying to be calm and informed through my hospital experience and have someone available for advice post delivery/post partum since IM someone who [personal details hidden] im scared of how life back home may be when its just me and my baby and getting overwhelmed

I am looking for a birth doula for a first time mother, I will be attempting to give birth in a hospital (preferably a baby friendly hospital in Kirkland, to promote breastfeeding) but i want to avoid medications and surgeries if possible.
