As your birthkeeper I will provide continuous care from pregnancy, through labor and birth, and up to two hours after baby's arrival. I offer unbiased support for all births including hospital birth and cesarean, unassisted, homebirth, medicated and/or unmedicated births. During the two prenatal visits I will help you and your birth partner understand the labor process for medicated or unmedicated births and discover more about your body and baby. You will learn helpful labor positions and pain management techniques, I will provide evidence based information and will advocate for informed consent. We will discuss prenatal appointments and what to expect along with child birth and breastfeeding basics. I will assist you with developing a birth plan that will work for you and baby and provide education to prepare you for the alternative paths you may encounter. During labor and birth I will help you and your birth partner apply pain management and labor techniques. I will help emotionally and empower you to follow your instincts. After birth I can help you establish breastfeeding, encourage skin to skin and ensure you are comfortable and stable before I leave the birth location. After baby is born I offer one postpartum visit. During this visit we can discuss any concerns or questions you may have and I will provide continuous breastfeeding support, as needed.
