I am Kathryn Jonas and I am passionate about helping family's navigate their feeding goals. I am a proud Mama of two amazing kiddos and a dog. My family moved to Central Oregon from Eugene in 2017. When I became a mother, I fell in love with breastfeeding and a spark came alive inside. I knew I wanted to make this my career to assist other families in navigating their feeding goals with compassionate and informed care. My goal is to empower families from a loving and respectful place.

Hello, I’m a IBCLC, registered nurse, birth doula, and certified childbirth educator. I provide in home lactation consulting to parents in Central Oregon. I have years of experience working with parents and infants, helping give guidance with infant care and feeding and postpartum health. I look forward to working with your family in this postpartum stage of life.

The fullness of my life has been centered around children and maternal care and learning about herbs and how they support a natural lifestyle. I have been a childcare provider, prenatal to youth (special needs included for years past 18 years of age), for over 30 years. My decision to become a doula, and eventually to become a midwife, has been in the works throughout my life. I have been influenced by other doulas and midwives from the East and West Coast, with a predominance of this influence happening when I was in North Carolina. My mission is to ensure that mothers, and mothers-to-be have the resources, knowledge, and care needed to ensure the healthy births of their children, as well as knowledge of how to care for their newborns and older children. I have experience as a nutritional specialist (chef), well-baby care, well-Mama care, and family care and pre-and post-birth dynamics.

Beth Waters is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Postpartum Doula. Her background includes a BS from U.C Santa Barbara and 95 hours of lactation consultation training through Lactation Education Resources. She got her CLC credential through Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine and later her IBCLC certification in 2019. Her passion for lactation developed from nursing two children of her own through breastfeeding challenges and then running a local breastmilk cooperative to help families find donor milk for free. She became an accredited La Leche League Leader to offer home visits and a weekly postpartum support group. Frustrated with the lack of access to support, she founded a non-profit to increase access to postpartum doula and lactation care in the Columbia Gorge. In 2022, she founded Wildflower Lactation And Postpartum Support in Portland to continue her vision. She has a passion for helping families get the care they need during the postpartum period and recently opened Wildflower Postptarum Center with a goal of providing integrated, high quality, accessible care. Her private practice uses a holistic approach to lactation consulting that balances the health and wellness of the lactating parent and their infant in the context of their individual challenges and lifestyle. Her specialties include evaluation and management complex infant feeding challenges including: Tongue-Tie, reflux, low supply, triple feeding, night weaning and co-sleeping. I’m Marquita, a Full Spectrum Birth & Postpartum Doula and founder of Root & Rose Wellness, serving families with compassionate, culturally responsive, and judgment-free care throughout pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and major reproductive transitions. My approach blends evidence-informed education, practical hands-on support, advocacy, emotional care, and deep respect for each family’s individual choices. I support clients in preparing for birth, navigating hospital and healthcare systems, understanding their options, building confidence in their own decision-making, and creating a postpartum experience that prioritizes recovery—not just baby care. As a postpartum doula, I provide daytime and overnight support, newborn care, feeding and lactation support, maternal recovery assistance, meal and household support, education, and space for parents to rest and adjust to life with their new baby. I am also expanding my lactation expertise through advanced IBCLC pathway training. My full-spectrum practice includes birth and postpartum care, pregnancy loss and bereavement support, abortion support, Reiki, and connection to community resources when families need additional support. I have a particular commitment to improving the pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding experiences of Black families and other families who have historically experienced inequities in maternal healthcare. At the same time, my practice welcomes families of all backgrounds, identities, structures, and birth preferences.
