Marcelle (she/her) is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), an RN since 1999 and founder of Wholesome Lactation Care, PLLC. As a mother of two, Marcelle became inspired by her own breastfeeding journey. Most of her career has been focused on working with children and families in their homes and through community-based programs. In 2012, she oversaw a teen parent program in a Florida high school. She initiated breast/chestfeeding support programs along with childbirth education to prepare teen parents. As a result, parents breastfed their infants at a much higher rate than average. There was a significant reduction in infections among babies which allowed parents to stay in school and complete their education. This led her to become an IBCLC in 2017.
