I am a Registered Nurse, Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Pre and Perinatal Psychology Educator and Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapist., located in Newcastle, WA. Birthing a new soul is a sacred rite of passage. In our busy world we have forgotten how to be fully present to receive this gift. Unfortunately, most hospital births feel far from empowering or sacred. Deliveries are often induced, creating a faster paced timeline that can make communication between mom and baby more confusing and difficult. Taking time to slow down and listen deeply to your baby, your partner and yourself can be immensely rewarding. It is not what we normally do, so having a guide is helpful. This is the service I’ve been providing to new parents for more than 30 years. I have worked with thousands of breastfeeding families in hospital and home settings. It brings me great joy to provide support and direction during your transition into parenting.

My name is Kelsey Smith. I am a wife, mother, RN, Lactation Educator and an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant. In 2015, my daughter was born and so was my passion for the world of lactation. With both children, breastfeeding didn't come easily. Each new child brought new challenges that with hard work and perseverance, we ultimately overcame. I saw this world that could be so beautiful and so incredibly frustrating all at the same time and knew I wanted to be a part of it. My experience and challenges led me to want to help others entering the world of breastfeeding. As a registered nurse, I've seen first hand the lack of support offered to mothers during the post partum period and knew I wanted to be part of that change. This led me to begin my journey to become a Lactation Consultant. I love working with families to help them meet their breastfeeding goals, whatever those may be. I am a graduate of the Pathway 2 Lactation Consultant program through UCSD and have also served as a mother to mother support with La Leche League International since 2016. I also hold a current membership with the international organization ILCA. Being a mom is hard enough, and trying to navigate it alone is even harder. For 23 years I have worked with birthing patients, their partners and babies. Hi, I'm Jenna, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant and pediatric occupational therapist supporting families throughout the greater Seattle area. For the past 11 years I've worked with babies and young children as an OT, and that background shapes how I approach feeding. When latching hurts, a baby struggles to stay on the breast, or bottles and pumping feel like a puzzle, I look at the whole picture: your baby's oral motor skills, tone, reflexes, and body position, along with your comfort, supply, and goals. Feeding is a skill your baby is learning and something you're learning together, and small adjustments often make a big difference. I'm also a mom to a little boy, so I know firsthand how tender and overwhelming those early days can be, and how much it helps to have someone in your corner.
