Claire Abilmona
About me
Claire Abilmona is a DONA trained postpartum doula, mother, gardener, creator, and mindful movement advocate. Grounded in her own lived experience of motherhood, Claire is deeply passionate about supporting families in the Baltimore-DMV area during the transformational period of postpartum. Doula Claire’s philosophy is that caretaking is a holistic practice that involves practical, emotional, and hands-on support of the new parents. Practical support begins before the birth of the new baby and includes education and planning. Emotional support is offered through active listening, postpartum mental health screenings, and relational support. Doula Claire offers hands-on support with infant care and meal planning and prepping. Her knowledge as an herbalist and farmer enhance her holistic approach to care and are supported by references in the community upon request. Doula Claire understands and embraces the honor of walking alongside families as they rest, heal and grow in confidence during postpartum.
