am seeking a doula to help provide support, advocacy, and guidance throughout my pregnancy and delivery. We are first-time parents looking for an experienced postpartum doula or newborn care specialist to support us during the first few weeks after delivery. We are both working from home, and our mothers will take turns helping during the daytime, so our main need is overnight newborn care and postpartum support. We would like someone experienced with newborn feeding, soothing, diapering, safe sleep, and helping establish a manageable nighttime routine. Breastfeeding support or experience working alongside an IBCLC would be a plus. We prefer someone with several years of newborn experience, infant CPR certification, and strong references. We are currently exploring part-time overnight care, approximately 3-4 nights per week during the first 4–8 weeks postpartum. Budget is flexible depending on experience and schedule. Our goal is to get enough rest while still being actively involved in feeding and bonding with the baby.

My husband and I are in search of a night doula/nanny to assist us with our 3 boys under 3. We have a 14m old who has never slept through the night, so any help with sleep training would be amazing. But aside from that, assistance with our newborn is the main criteria to allow us to be as well rested as possible enabling us to be the best parents we can be. I am attempting to nurse and pump, so having someone tag teaming feeding a bottle while I pump or helping me get him to sleep in the bassinet is very much desired.

I would like my doula to advocate for me while in the hospital or home. I would love if they could help my partner be able to help with hip squeeze and position changes. I would like a doula as a first time mom. I’m higher risk and my only option for pain management is an epidural. I would like to try giving birth naturally as the epidural and the side effects scares me more than anything. I feel a doula may be very beneficial for me.

We plan to give birth at Duke hospital in Durham. We do not have a set budget. This will be our fourth child. Our midwife retired the end of July and this pregnancy is high risk. With family moving out of town and the strain the pregnancy physically and mentally added into the three additional kids , I wanted to have an extra support system in place.
