Beyond the Carrot qualifications, prefer a provider with fluent English and at least 10 years experience in newborn care. At present, we don't anticipate any special needs for the newborn, but expect mom to be breastfeeding & pumping. Hi- I am looking for a night nurse with extensive experience in newborn care to support my husband and I with our second baby girl, arriving November 28th, 2026. We would love support with the transition home from the hospital, and all aspects of newborn feeding and care. The doula must be certified through DONA International, ICEA or National Black Doula's Association as a doula. Must speak English. Must have at least 5-6 years experience. I need a Doula to help with the baby after birth, during the day for 3-4 days the beginning, help with washing the baby and changing diapers and then just at night to wash and feed the baby, rock the baby back to sleep or change diapers, etc as needed. My budget is max $2,500, I’d like to have someone for at least 2 weeks if not 3 weeks after birth, depending on their rate. Will be helpful if they also can help take out the garbage to the curb, since I hear babies go through diapers very quickly. (I also need help with feeding the cat, 1-2 times at night if he cries for food as well). This is my first child, so I may also need some training and advice on what to do.

I am planning a home water birth in the Hudson Valley (Orange County, NY). I am looking to build an all-Black birth team, including a Black licensed midwife and a Black doula, as culturally responsive care is very important to me. My goal is a calm, low-intervention, unmedicated water birth at home with continuous support, informed consent, and respectful care throughout pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. I would like support with comfort measures, advocacy, emotional support, and breastfeeding/lactation guidance after birth.
