I plan to give birth in a hospital. I want to do it without an epidural. Im open to other medicinal interventions and definitely non medicinal interventions. I want my husband to be there and be my support. I want calming environment and God centered motivation. I have no idea what our budget is. We dont have a lot of money so cheaper is better but we won't necessarily cut must have things.

I plan to give birth at Advocate Sherman in Elgin IL. I don’t have an exact budget, an I would just like someone aside from my husband who is able to speak up for me and assist me with laboring the way I want to. I also have major anxiety about postpartum because I suffered the loss of my first born at a month old.

I am having a c-section December 17th, I also have an 11 year old son, and my fiancé works full time. Both of my parents passed nearly 3 years ago and I do not have siblings, so I'm lacking in emotional and physical support and I think I'll need help whenever we return from the hospital. My healing process with the first c-section did not go smoothly, so I'm most nervous about healing while having to take care of a newborn and middle schooler.

We have a toddler and both work from home so we need support after our second baby is born in May. We both work from home so ideally someone could come here to watch both of our babies in our home while we work. We need someone that we can trust to be an extension of our parenting and to work with us instead of against us to support feeding, changing, babysitting during work hours and potentially a night nurse to help us with overnight needs so that we can get rest. We plan to give birth at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. We plan to use an epidural like we did for the first birth and follow standard medical guidelines. We are fortunate to receive a $30,000 benefit from my company to use toward eligible doula services so that is our budget although given the mostly part-time nature of this role, I think that should be more than enough for our needs.

I am looking for support who has either experience working with Black families or is comfortable working with women of color as i am aware of higher mortality rate and would like for my baby and me to be cared for 3. I am currently planning to give birth at cdh. I’m not sure what an appropriate budget for a doula is so I guess I’m interested in rates. I’d hope to not go over a thousand dollars but like I said I don’t know what is appropriate. I’d like to give birth with the least amount of interventions possible. Birth plan would be to stay as natural as possible, but not opposed to medical needs like an epidural if I decide I want one. Whether that be through breathing techniques, deferred sensation like a birth comb, water, etc. Want to avoid a C-section unless emergency demands it. Delayed cord clamp and immediate skin to skin as long as not an emergency. Want to try breastfeeding, and pumping, but not opposed to formula if needed.

I would like a doula who can help educate me on all my options around birth and how to best prepare for that. I'd also like them to be present when I'm giving birth, and potentially post partum care. I'm giving birth at Central Dupage Hospital. I learned today that my insurance plan covers doulas that are in-network, so ideally they would be in-network with BCBSIL. I don't know my birth plan, I would like help figuring that out.
