I need a certified lactation consultant, who specializes or has ample experience with babies with oral ties AND moms with inverted nipples. With my first, I exclusively breastfed (using a nipple shield given to me in the hospital) for 6 weeks, then started pumping and transitioned to that exclusively pumping for the next year. I would love to be able to breastfeed directly instead of having to pump, and would also love to not have to use the nipple shield. My nipples are inverted and baby was having difficulty with efficiency and would nurse for up to an hour, she also had oral ties. Last time I worked with Carissa from Nourish Feeding therapy, and she has unfortunately moved. I would love someone who can do in home visits or is very close to liberty lake. I want to go into this post partum with tools and motivation for a positive feeding experience, as last time is was very stressful and defeating for me. Thanks!
My baby has a posterior tongue tie and clicks when he eats.. and sucks in way to much air. Because of this my milk supply has dropped and he’s losing weight! Doctor said I should seek a lactation specialist. I can only afford this if it’s covered on insurance
Would love advice/direction into breastfeeding. Hoping to find a consultant within our insurance
1. Spokane River Midwives Birth Center 2. Needing to be covered by CHPW 3. Need proactive coaching for lactation due to breast surgeries/lumpectomies.
We are looking for a certified lactation consultant that supports our choice to both breast feed and bottle feed and also accepts Kaiser WA insurance . Our son was born (12/19/25) with a tongue tie and struggled to latch on the breast from the start. Since then, we have gotten the tongue tie released. He now is able to latch on the breast with a nipple shield, which I am hoping to not need. Our son also struggles with reflux and gas, and I am wondering if his latch has something to do with it.
My baby has been super gassy and I think it has to do with his latch, he started clicking which means he’s swallowing more air. I think it may be due to a poor latch. He is 3weeks old. Only breastfed but gets 1-2 breast bottles a day. Do you take Molina insurance?
I need help with breast feeding i switched to punping because of pain and i keep trying to get baby to latch but i get a good latch then it starts hurting by the second or third time of latching
I plan to give birth in tri cities but live in Harrington and once I'm back home I just want extra support at home with both baby and me making sure everything is going smooth and helping with any other needs that may arise.
Hospital Medicaid (small budget) Unsure
Ideally I’d like to have my baby at a birth center but a hospital is fine. My husband is the type to freeze and not help where I need it most, so I need a doula to do a lot of the physical help and support. This is my second pregnancy. My first time was a very traumatic experience, and I’m just trying to do things differently so the outcome is pleasant and healing. I’m not rich, I’d like to see what the cheapest is. I want to have an unmediated birth ideally, Worship Music, tub, movement, aromatherapy, delayed cord clamping- having baby and placenta delivered and wait until all blood flow has transferred before clamping. No bath for baby.
Planning for at home, but willing to reevaluate to hospital if needed -$1000? - I havent fully put it together yet
Help with latching .. baby is 2 weeks old and currently combo feeding
I will be giving birth at the Lethbridge hospital. I was unable to get a midwife so I am looking at potentially getting a doula to support me in having an unmedicated birth. My fiance is extremely supportive and will want to do anything he can to help but he lacks the vast knowledge of different coping mechanisms that a doula would have.
I am seeking a local lactation consultant who can visit me at home and help my baby latch and feed better.
