Middlesex Hospital, Middletown CT; twins; want to try to breastfeed
I was working with a doula but she didn’t make a good fit and we had to leave a month before expected date. I will be birthing at Manchester Hospital, CT and would need to go through husky insurance
Manchester hospital Medicaid Vbac. 3rd baby my second was a c section. I tend to have large babies and they pressured me into it. I really want to have a vbac and try to have no epidural
Hospital Depends on insurance I want to learn more on doulas and the services they provide
Hi , I’m Marissa. I’m 25 years old and I’m due October 24th 2026. My husband and I are having a baby girl. I am interested having a doula through my Medicaid Insurance. I just really need the basics of just an extra advocate to be there in the hospital. I think it’s the smartest decision to have someone else besides my husband advocating for me if hospital gives me push back. I am planning to do an unmedicated birth , with free moving and switching positions. I believe if you are stressed and only allowed to be just on your back it doesn’t promote a smooth delivery. I really want to stick with my beliefs unless it’s a serious emergency . I want the experience to be as natural as possible unless it’s urgent.

Just found out my wife is pregnant she is either 3 weeks or 7 weeks. First ultrasound is scheduled for June 1st. We are Catholic and are interested in learning about natural birthing practices. Want to learn about doulas midwives and how to have either a home birth or a natural hospital birth. Want to learn about how I can advocate for my wife so we don’t get vaccinations and unnecessary procedures. We live in CT and plan to contact with Hartford hospital for our care. I make just under 3k a month with rent at 1250 every month.
Hello, I am looking for a doula to help during birth at a hospital. I would be delivering at Saint Francis and my current birth plan is natural unmedicated birth (this is mostly due to health concerns which I can discuss further)
Plan to give birth at a hospital (L&M hospital in New London), tricare select covers doulas so hopefully I can find a doula that’s covered by our health insurance. My first was a very long induced labor, about 56 hours and I pushed for 3 hours. Ended up having a c section and would love to try a vbac this time around.
I need someone who can help me through an unmedicated birth in a hospital. I want to avoid the epidural at all costs.

Mother-to-be: Skye Renee Hinton Labor support: Elias Jamar Bell (husband, father-to-be), Maribel Hernandez (Mother in law) Rachel Jordan(Skye’s mother) Birth site: UMass Memorial Health - Harrington Hospital - Southbridge Campus My goal is to deliver my baby as safely and naturally as possible without medical interventions unless the benefits outweigh the risks. I plan to participate along with my husband and my care providers in making decisions about my labor, delivery and postpartum care. Listed below are my birth preferences; I understand that final decisions about my care will be discussed and agreed upon in the birthing room with my well-being and the safe delivery of my baby as the most important considerations. Birth Preferences Early labor and Preparation: ● Spontaneous labor and vaginal delivery ● Limited cervical checks ● No membrane sweep ● No IV ● No Induction Labor: ● No medications, pitocin, epidural, laughing gas, etc. ● No IV ● Use of electronic fetal monitor externally only for an initial 20 minute strip; after that, I would prefer intermittent Doppler monitoring ● Want to move freely, walk around, and labor in preferred positions ● Would like light foods and clear liquids, taken orally ● Little to no lights in the room ● Only my husband, mother, and doula in the room Delivery: ● Vaginal Delivery, No IV ● Labor position: whatever feels most comfortable at the time. No laying on my back. ● No episiotomy, No use of forceps ● I’ll push when I feel the urge ● Immediate skin to skin contact with blanket over mom and baby ● No rubbing the baby (unless obvious medical attention is necessary) ● Delayed cord clamping (Until cord stops pulsating) ● Mom or Dad will cut the cord ● 1+ Golden hour of baby with mother ● Weight + Measurements taken only after 1 hour Postpartum: ● Baby remains in the room with mom and dad throughout entire hospital stay ● Establish breastfeeding, no formula ● No bath for baby ● Leave hospital within 12 hours if baby + mom are healthy ● No vitamin K, No vaccines.
