Need someone to guide me through being pregnant. This is my first child and my OB has too many patients to provide adequate care. Currently Im at week 12 and the nausea and fatigue have passed for the most part. Plain to give birth at a hospital. Budget is moderate. Plan for birth: all the drugs and only necessary people in the room with me. Plans change as long as baby is okay I'll do whatever needs to be done.

I would really like to give birth at home. Budget depends on if I can use my insurance or not but price isn't really a deal-breaker. I delivered my first son naturally at the hospital after being induced at 40 weeks due to nerves of his size (was told he'd probably be about 6 lbs but was actually 8). We lost him at 6 weeks old to SIDS and I wasn't thrilled with the hospital / post-partuim care. With not a lot of family in the area, I'm really looking for support. My birth plan would be a home delivery with natural remedies to help with pain relief.

My ideal birth plan is an at home water brith. I currently live in Louisville Kentucky, and based on my understanding of state law, I would need either a CPM or CNM. While I would prefer to have an unmedicated home birth, my ultimate priority is the safety of my child. I am looking for someone or a team of midwives who would be comfortable transferring me to a hospital if they deemed it necessary for the health of the child.
