Location: Troy, AL, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: August 18, 2025
1. Jackson Hospital 2. $1500 3. Very holistic/natural centered. I would like to avoid C-section at all costs and reduce the likeliness of tearing. If I do tear, I want to tear naturally and absolutely do not consent to an episiotomy at any point in birth. I would like to birth in water if possible or at least be in any position I find comfortable during labor. My goal is to birth without an epidural unless i go into labor and decide I cannot bear the pain at any point. I would like to delay the cord clamping until it is white and not pulsating and want dad to be the one to cut it. Baby is to stay with me at all times and any exams or checks done in the room. No bath while at the hospital, leave the Vernix on baby for golden hour. I would like to give the okay for any and all vaccines for baby beforehand. These are just a few details but I have a very direct birth plan I would like to be followed as closely as possible. |

Location: Stonecrest, GA 30038, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: August 18, 2025
Hi , my name is Isha and I’m currently 36 weeks pregnant. I’m looking for a doula who can provide last-minute support as I prepare for a natural hospital birth with as little intervention as possible. I’d love guidance on exercises and techniques to help reduce pain and prepare my body in these final weeks. I’ll be delivering at Northside Hospital in Dunwoody, and it’s important to me to work with someone who accepts insurance—specifically Blue Cross Blue Shield. I’m also looking for someone who can help advocate for me if the medical team suggests anything that goes against my natural birth plan. Ideally, I’d like my doula to be able to act as a midwife if necessary. I’m seeking someone who brings a calm and grounding energy—someone who can help keep the atmosphere peaceful and supportive while I’m in labor. Below is my full birth plan for your review: ⸻ Isha Birth Plan – Northside Hospital, Dunwoody Goal: Natural, unmedicated birth with minimal intervention Doula involvement is essential Environment & Support: • I request that care be clustered—meaning nurses and staff enter the room only when needed and combine tasks to reduce unnecessary interruptions • A “Do Not Disturb” sign should be placed on the door to protect my rest and mental focus during labor • Dim lighting, soft music, and a quiet, calming environment • Use of essential oils/aromatherapy (lavender, clary sage, etc.) • Massage, counterpressure, and focused breathing techniques • Calm, supportive presence from staff at all times Labor Preferences: • No Pitocin or labor induction medications • No epidural or narcotics unless I change my mind • Cervical checks only when necessary and with consent • No IV unless absolutely required (prefer hep-lock/saline lock) • Nurse assigned who supports unmedicated birth • Access to labor tub, yoga/birth ball, and peanut ball • Wireless monitoring to allow free movement • Freedom to choose labor positions (hands and knees, side-lying, squatting, etc.) Pushing & Delivery: • Wait for natural urge to push (mother-directed pushing) • Minimal coaching—supportive, not forceful • Mirror to view crowning if I choose • Warm compress on perineum to reduce tearing • Avoid episiotomy unless absolutely necessary After Birth: • Delayed cord clamping (1–3 minutes or until pulsing stops) • Immediate skin-to-skin contact • Baby stays on my chest unless there is a medical emergency • No routine suctioning unless necessary • Delay baby’s bath at least 24 hours • Breastfeeding and lactation support immediately after birth • Circumcision to be performed 24 hours after birth (Ghomco method) • No Hepatitis B shot • Discuss Vitamin K injection and eye ointment before administration (may accept/refuse) • Baby remains in the room with me at all times (no nursery) • If baby must be taken out of the room, my mom and/or baby’s dad will accompany them • Trackers must remain on baby at all times ⸻ If this sounds like the kind of birth you support, I’d love to connect and learn more about your availability and services. Warmly, Isha |
