I plan to give birth in a hospital, but hope to have minimal interventions unless absolutely medically necessary. This is my first pregnancy via IVF after dealing with infertility, and I would like someone who is sensitive to that.

I will be 35 at time of birth. If the doula wouldn't mind watching the baby for a few hours so I could get sleep after birth that would be amazing. Someone who is Christian would also be a plus. First pregnancy and birth at 41 years old. Need someone who can support and older mother. I plan to give birth in a hospital and want to do an epidural but have some fear due to prior health issues. I would love 1-2 meetings prior to delivery and support in hospital during birthing. Would love to spend $1000 or less.

I plan to give birth at Abbott Northwestern. This is my second child, my first was born at Regions which was a 30+ hour labor including PPH. I am hoping for a smoother experience and less anxiety this time! I'd like to find someone with several years of experience. My husband is a resident physician and it is important to us to find someone who works well with care teams. I am not sure yet about my postpartum doula needs and budget, just thinking I'd like to find help with that too.

This is my first baby, but I am looking for a Doula in training that is able to help me achieve an unmedicated birth. I currently live in Stillwater Minnesota and plan to deliver at St. John’s Hospital. I’m hoping to find a Doula in training as my insurance does not cover a Doula at all and the cost of a trained Doula is not feasible.

I will be giving birth at United Hospital. I have health partners insurance through the state, so any services would need to be covered by insurance. I am hoping for as natural of a birth as possible with as few interventions as possible however, I am a high risk pregnancy due to type one diabetes. (my diabetes is decently well controlled and is not the same as type two diabetes.) I had a lot of trauma from my last birthing experience, I didn’t know my rights and the doctors were VERY controlling and even forceful with me.

My birth plan is to have a positive vaginal birth. I plan on getting an epidural. I had a fairly experience last pregnancy and labor/delivery and hoping to keep that going. My current plan is to deliver at Saint Francis Hospital, but I am open to other suggestions. I heard the Scheduler say that they are going through a lot of changes which makes me nervous. Being in the healthcare field, I know that patient care gets overlooked when these changes are happening. I do not know the average cost of Doula services. Am I able to use an HSA plan? My requirements for the provider is that they have assisted in 20 or more births. I would like them to be a good teacher as I like to learn about the process. I have done one of my physical therapy clinicals as a physical therapist and pelvic health and would like to understand what my body is going through from a personal perspective. My birth plan is in the process of being created. Ideally, as little intervention as possible. I don’t want to rule out use of pain medication‘s as I have no idea how I’ll feel on the day of labor, however, most of the people I know who have gotten an epidural look back in regret it due to it stalling and /or slowing their labor. I need somebody who can take the responsibility off of my husband too help me navigate those decisions on the day of. I just want him to be able to be present and help me.
